That was in the not so distant past. 2 or 3 years ago I remember trying on Hulks and BLNRs at the Tourneau in my local mall that were just sitting in the case. Boy have times changed!

Pretty much! One of the owners knew the Blue SkyD was on my "hit-list" and that I had been patiently waiting for a chance to buy one since the Basel release. The big surprise was that I got one on Saturday, which I definitely wasn't expecting when I work up that morning.

It definitely helps when the owners of the AD are huge enthusiasts themselves! I'm very lucky that a good relationship is not "work" for me ... it's a truly enjoyable friendship.

Congrats! Beautiful timepiece. Sounds like a great AD. My AD does not keep a list of names or consider deposits. You basically have to be there at the time it arrives. Not easy being 20 miles from my nearest AD.

I waited 2 years (since the Basel release in 2017). I have purchased other pieces from this AD. I just try to be a loyal customer and express interest in the pieces I'd like to add to my collection.
