I prefer the white dial. It can be dressed up or down, very versatile watch

I think the gold surround hour indices on the black dial tend to sparkle and attract attention.

On the white, this gold glistening effect is negated with the black paint. Kind of makes the white dial less flashy--which to me is a good thing.

I say the white dial is decidedly low key. I wore to the office almost daily for seven years with few comments from co-workers, clients, etc.

If you want to keep a low profile, black is your choice. Personally, white diall has an in-your-face sorta effect. People will notice your watch from mile away. On the other hand, black dial blends easlily with your clothing. Just my 2cents.

I think the red 24 hour hand is more visible against the white dial...

I'd say the black is more stealthy than the black. The contrast on the white is strong and it's actually a very shiny dial.

I concur that black = stealth.

They are both pretty stealthy - from a distance, the bezel blends into the case. Something that doesn't happen with a "Pepsi" GMT, for example.

For me, the quintessential Exp II is probably the white dial, but I prefer to wear the black. Suits me better and I love the red 24hr hand on that "enamel black" background.

I would suggest trying on both black and white and buying whichever suits you best.

Pics of my black dial below

Cheers

Stealth bombers are stealthy, low-key, and black. So I rekon Blacks the one to go with.

I'd get the white since not many Rolex dials are white and it looks cool.
