I was trying to come up with a clever reply about the incompatibility of being both impatient and indecisive, then realized I'm also probably a little of both when it comes to watches anyway

I'd rather have the Milgauss any day over the Explorer I.

If I was ever to move it on in the future I'm not sure it would be very sought after? I'm not a flipper but I get bored after a few years.

Is it seen as a downgrade from the gv green model? (I like it but a tad too colorful for me)
Pros win for sure, cons are only about price and selling which should always be secondary in a watch hobby.

I agree with this. You're comparing two no-date OP variants. I'd hold out & find something substantially different, like a TT DJ on jubilee.

I'm not a Milgauss fan at all but that colour combo is by far my favorite.

I'd honestly hold off. It's clearly not a watch you love otherwise you wouldn't be asking for other people's opinions. And while you may grow to love it, I'm not sure there's any point in spending your hard earned cash on it unless it really sings to YOU.

I made a decision a while back to only buy things I really love... Be it cars, watches, clothes. To not just buy a car because I can get it cheap, or a piece of clothing just because it's on sale. No point in buying it unless you really love it.

Biggest con, it will take time away from your 214270, which is a much better 3 hand piece.

I think those two can go together as a pair, though they are both black dial time only steel sports there are important differences in look, feel and heritage as to justify it. Later, a Sub could complete the trifecta.

I actually like this Milgauss color variation best (over the blue/green). If you like it, I say negotiate hard and make it happen.

Personally, I'm not a Milgauss fan though. I like the PCL's and black dial just fine, but I can't stand polished flat bezels and I also despise that lighting bolt seconds hand. For those reasons, I'd personally pass. But if you like it, I say 'buy it'. I'm all about buying stuff that makes me happy. If it makes you happy, do the right thing and buy it!

I have the same one, I say if you like it, Get it. Why care about what others think? and its not a downgrade from gv, just personal preference

I have the same one. I wore it for about three months straight. I have about 10 Rolex watches and a lot of other ones as well.

Recently, I went to the bank and pulled out my Explorer. I have been wearing that for a couple weeks. To be honest I truly miss the Black milgaus. Is just so understated. It totally flies under the radar and is comfortable.

Of my entire collection, I can honestly say that this watch is the only one that I miss wearing.

In the Milgauss line that and the Z blue dial are the best looking. Price may play as well. If you can sport it for about 6k take it and run.
