I purchase both endlinks and found the smarty end to go well with thicker straps (rubber oysterflex or rubber B). And while the original time links fit more snugly unto the case, I cannot get my rubber b to go on the case. Even original time sells only leather straps at eBay (which would go well with their end links).

I’m reviving an old one to see if anyone can tell me if the strap is hard to remove with these end links? It looks like they’d block any access to the spring bars.

It reduces some access but I've never had a problem with the end links getting in the way.

Smarty End Links or Original Time End Links?

For me, removing the strap is not a problem. It doesn’t really block access to the springbars for me. What’s hard for me is getting the strap on with the endlinks in place. I have to push the springbars towards the holes in the lugs. Much harder when the strap is thick or made of stiffer material

white the end links attached. There will be the two levers of end links that hold on to the case, I'm wondering that the more you wear with end links will make scratch or scuff to the back of the case where endlink's legs located.

It's a Bonetto Cinturini Italian rubber. Very nice quality at a decent price.

1968 1603 This is a "George" bought on eBay.

Reverse view.

1968 1625 Turn-o-graph, another eBay George. The gold is laid on the steel and is very high quality.

Richard,

Both great looking watches but the TOG is sublime.

Wearing SJ end links on my THC today.

Same thing happened to me, ordered the eBay OT ones, the bezel will not rotate. Got a replacement and still the same rip off. STICK TO SMARTY END LINKS!!!

Keep in mind that thin straps work best with these as the endlinks don’t leave much space, and it gets pretty challenging trying to get the springbars to slot into the case holes with thicker straps.
So HOW did you get the springbars in there? Driving me nuts.

It's possible the strap hole the spring bar rests in is compressing as you try to press the strap against the watch head. It can be a little trying. Only advise is keep at it.

Good luck,

Terrible photo but you get the idea. The difference between the "gap" and this look is amazing.

I wore this watch daily for everything for 15 years. The strap was stretched... 3 grand for a new one. Not my wear watch any longer but I was determined to get this back looking decent for my son. If he gets the itch to buy a bracelet he can :)
