I truly love all three watches but the BLNR is my favorite.

I know a lot of you on this forum will say “keep all three” and I completely understand your point of view ... as collectors. But I’m not really a collector. I’m an enthusiast who loves his watches. And I prefer to have a collection of 2 pieces that I bond with. I envisioned wearing my dressier piece to work, then switching out to the Sub for play and weekends. The third watch kinda throws a wrench into the works.

So, should I sell the new DJ41 since the GMT currently fills its role? Or do you have another suggestion (keep DJ41 & Sub, DJ41 & GMT, etc)?

Dougie

We went through this on a number of mediums.

Sell the DJ. You don’t need it. You have an amazing two watch collection. The GMT is blingy enough and the Sub is a versatile icon.

Just some constructive criticism. I was all for a DJ on a smooth bezel until I saw one is person. It is way too wide. Fluted is nicer, iconic and hides scratches better.

That’s a tough one! Especially on this forum! I have all three and they each full a different purpose!
If you “must” sell one then I would sell the sub

The DJ is stunning I would try to keep it if you can.

Personally i would get rid of the DJ. If it were me, i have no need for two watches on Jubilee. Sell it and buy something different. Maybe a polar explorer? Or something vintage!

Yes, sell it!

you got 3 modern pieces, all around same size.....I mean think about it: why wear that DJ when you got the new BLNR?

Keep the 2 you like best and that sounds like GMT and Sub. I'd personally keep all 3 and rotate the GMT and DJ weekdays.

I would keep all three if you can since you may need DJ41 on jubilee for a dress watch. I have the same DJ you have, DJ41 white dial/roman/fluted/jubilee, and Exp1 MK2. For me, GMT II on jubilee looks still "sporty" to match suits and tie

Sell sub, nothing special about it. Change the bezel to fluted on DJ if you can, otherwise no problem.

Sell the DJ with a view for a fluted bezel in future. Keep the Sub and BLNR.

Sell the GMT...the profit should cover most of the DJ.
If you sell the DJ your looking at a loss.

Dilemma: Should I sell my 1 week old DJ41 blue jubilee?

Why not get rid of the Sub ND for now? The DJ41 offers something different and not as common as compared to the Sub ND (which is the obvious choice for most on the forum). Plus you might come up ahead in terms of covering your losses on the Sub ND due to high demand.

Sounds like you have a good AD who's ready to offer you tough-to-get pieces such as the BLNR and so I'm sure you can get a Sub ND later with a little bit of wait.

I also agree that you shouldn't make a quick decision now. Put each watch on a 1 week (or better yet 1 month) rotation and see how you feel. I don't think the extra time is going to hurt resale value by much anyway...

My two cents, I think the DJ plus either the Sub or BLNR is the much better combination. To me, the Sub and GMT are both sporty, so the DJ gives you nice balance.
You can’t go wrong whatever you do!

I’ve decided that I’m going to give Doug the option of simply swapping his iconic Rolex Submariner for my Omega Planet Ocean and Tudor Black Bay blue.
Much less hassle than getting low balled by potential buyers.

Can’t sell the 911 of watches, and you love the Bruce Wayne, so it has to be DJ

I'm the wrong guy to ask, I think I have bought a dozen or so this year. If I were you, I'd keep all three and not feel bad about it....

Personally would keep all 3. If I had to choose, I would drop the submariner before the DJ.

All 3 watches work well with business casual, or beach setting. The DJ and the GMT will have the water resistance requirement to go down the depths 99% of this forum’s members would ever get close to, me included.

If DJ was on a fluted bezel, I'd say keep.

But if it doesn't spark joy! like the BLNR then say goodbye and let someone else enjoy it!

That said, I'm in the camp of never selling any Rolex that I buy.

Here’s another solution, put the sub bracelet on the blnr and sell the sub with jubilee lol.
