Sounds like you're letting your friend get into your head.

Two years down the road, which watch do you want to be wearing?

I voted TT.

What do you think guys? Better pull the trigger now or save the money for another year for Full Gold Rootbeer?

The TT is a sharper looking watch IMO. If you have a larger collection already, then go PM for more distinction.

I have the TT and it's fantastic. Love the mix of steel and rose gold. Get lots of compliments. I don't think you could go wrong either way. Personally, if I could have this great TT and use that other money for another Rolex, that would be the way I would go.

I was never a fan of TT watches until the CHNR came out. It's very nice and the only Rolex TT I would consider right now.

As much as I like it, a TT isn't 'special' (IMO, of course) like PM. Wait for the PM. Like many others have said, you really won't regret it.

If you have to save up for a $37k watch, you cannot afford a $37k watch.

I have the TT and it's amazing. I can't imagine FG being worth another $20k.

I would also like to concur that the TT is “ meh” looking. That watch should’ve had a true root beer dial on it. That black face just kills it.

I would have thought his several watches in his collection already would avoid a comment about affordability which I think we should avoid anyway in a watch forum but...

You can’t possibly make this statement without knowing all the details of someone’s personal finances.

1. If you pay MSRP for the two tone you will get all your money back in the next 12 months and maybe even make a bit so you don't lose much having the TT for a year.

2. The two tone rose gold contrast with the steel looks really nice. I'd personally never get yellow gold but the rose gold is awesome contrast.

3. The all rose gold in certain light, for instance a bar or restaurant evening scene is sometimes hard to discern the color. This is where the TT does a better job making the rose gold pop.

3. 90% of my friends and family said the TT was a less blingy way to go. I really fight everyone on this but i have to say, wearing the TT anywhere, I don't personally feel like i'm "overdressing" as i would with the full rose gold.

4. Going the TT route frees up another 20k for another awesome rolex. Less eggs in one basket.

5. With all that said i sometimes yearn for the full rose gold but that doesn't last long and i think i'd still rather have two watches versus the one full RG.

Hope that helps.
Thank you for your advice....

I owned the full gold CHNR for a while. After a while, I found I really didn't love the look of it like I thought I would. I ended up selling it after a few months. I think I really prefer the look of the TT of this model.

TT- Enjoy it now until you have opportunity for Full Gold... Then later sell here if you prefer Full Gold after trying it on... Win / Win :)

I think everything has been addressed re: price.

If you put price aside It is not even a contest in my option. The full gold watch is spectacular.

That being said, you won’t be disappointed with either.

Well, I have the full gold version, and every time I wear it, it feels absolutely epic. Extremely special. I also have a TT bluesy, which is kind of comparable to the TT root beer. I love that one as well. I can wear it all the time, never get tired of it, it's extremely versatile, and I'll never be without one. But.. It's a totally different feeling than wearing the all gold root beer. Two totally different watches for different occasions. The root gold feels more special, the TT feels like an everyday kind of watch. I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

Buy the Rootbeer TT Now vs Buy the Full Gold Rootbeer Next Year

I bought the tt bluesy and now I regret not saving to get the full gold.
But this is my preference.

Ask yourself this question. Which watch will you be inclined to wear more often? Buy that one.

John Mayer might go on youtube and say the full gold is going to be the next hot watch. ....Just joking

I would buy the TT now, wear it plenty, then sell it and buy the full gold if you still feel like you need it.

My thoughts; save for full version. TT is nothing in comparison to the full gold model.

The watch is incredible. Many times I consider switching my daytona for one.

From your signature it seems you are not lacking good Rolex to wear now so if you want full gold eventually I'd wait a year.

Another situation if you are not sure to go full PM eventually or not.

The TT is the Root Beer. The full rose is not the Root Beer, it should be given another name. Just buy the TT as it's the better looking one. If you get more funds then just buy another watch. If you really want the FG, and you are buying retail, then buy TT first anyway because you won't lose if you want to sell second hand.

Pretend the cost is the same and pick the one you think looks best then don't look back. I had the TT sub and had to eat the cost to upgrade to the full gold later.
Bingo.
