The conventional choice is sub and day date, a man needs nothing else. However at the end of the day it is all personal. The sub is not your favourite and that is ok. So go datejust and day date. Who are we to tell you what to like!

While I’d keep sub and DD because those are what I like, it sounds like the DJII’s are your favorites. I’d keep those two and ditch the sub and DD if I were you.
Gotta wear the ones you enjoy the most. |

Simple for the fact that I do not wear yellow gold, it would be the Submariner and Datejust. It the DD were in a white metal, I'd advise you to retain that and the Submariner.

I vote DJII blue dial and Sub. If your wrist can wear the DJII then keep as your dress and all around watch, sub to tone things down a little, and hit the water. If you had diamond dial TT DJII I would prefer that, because TT diamond dial is just cool whether DJii or DJ41.

Can't warm up to the DJII. The markers on the stick dial are way too thick for my liking, and remind me of Ball Watches. Not that I have anything against Ball, but it's not in the same league as Rolex.

I voted Sub and blue DJ 2. I am not a fan of the dial on that DD.

Even though the poll is favouring a DD and Subdate I think you know you want to keep your DD and a DJ.
You should put up another poll between the DJ’s. I would keep the TT DJ. No, wait, keep the SS DJ.

Sub and DD is a solid two watch line up.
You have a grail you’re looking at?
