That's what I call a tool watch. It just happens to have some PM on it. That's all.

Cool. This is what a tool watch should do.

One of the reasons I don't like to buy used watches.

Yeah maybe that's where the disagreement is. I don't think a $10k+ watch is a tool watch. They are a luxury item.
Seriously, if you wanted a watch to reliably tell the time, you would buy a g-shock. For example, no actual diver today wears a submariner to the depths (or any of the "diver watches" of the watch community on the internet). They have diving computers, which are more accurate, more reliable, a lot cheaper, and just more suited for the job. It's true that submariners used to be for actual divers, but not anymore. Even Rolex acknowledged that when they added the date function. |

Thank you! I was wondering if that would be the case. I was using thick leather gloves and had a long sleeve and a hoodie sleeve over the watch Thanks for the advice though |

Exactly!!!! Lol lol lol The OP’s picture tells me he is saying, “Trust me you don’t ever want to buy this watch on the secondhand market“ lol This is the reason why they have a Carfax for used cars. Maybe we should have a watch fax. Lol

And believe me I know green eggs are not self cleaning. Even my 16-year-old son needs some prodding to get out there and clean ours up which we use Friday night Saturday night and Sunday night just about every weekend.

OP I get your point, but I am guessing your message is meant to be an antithesis for those who wear their Rolex with bubble wraps? Lol.
I am more of a middle-of-the-roader; I don’t bubble wrap my Rolex, but I take it off when I do the chores that have the potential to damage it. |

Exactly. It’s an antithesis to those who question if it’s safe to fold the laundry while wearing a Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is a submariner a tool watch for grill cleaning? Lol. That’s not what a tool watch means.

Reminds me of the last time I was at the track. A gentleman pulls up in the gravel parking area in a Ford GT first gen. We remarked on what a great machine shouldn’t be parked in such rough patch and he replied “it’s just a car” and then said “it’s my daily, has over 60k miles on it” Now that a paradigm shift. If you love wearing, driving or being with something or someone. Do it. We all have time, until we don’t.

Glad to see someone who knows his watch can handle anything. Wear it and enjoy it.

I wear my watches everyday but I take them off when moving furniture through doorways, pounding nails, etc. An ounce of prevention (ie. 5 minutes off) is worth more than a pound of cure. I really don't know who you are trying to impress.

I don't mind scratches on my wristwatch. I do on my car.

I wear all of mine all of the time. I'm pretty active but always aware of my wrist in doorways, with tools, under car hoods, snowmobiling, whatever, its second nature to me and once in a great while I'll take them off depending on what I'm doing.
