As time passes do you find your taste in watches changes?
I got my first Rolex 12 years ago, back then I wanted a breitling but went with Rolex after reading about them and everyone recommended them over breitling and I think the major factor was resale as at the time it was when I starting to taste a bit of success but wasn't quite there so resale was kind of important at the time so I went with a blue sub as I found it stood out a lot but I found Rolex to look kinda like for old people where breitling looked bigger/cooler etc,,,,,,,,,a few years later I was SOOOOO happy I didn't go with the breitling I just find them ugly and way to big now.
The next watch I loved was a datejust ii, I always wanted the tt 41mm with smooth bezel and osyter,,,,,I was going to get one 10 years ago but never did,,,,,I got one a few weeks ago and got it fluted on a jubilee,,,,,10 years ago I'd never want the jubilee or fluted now love it and can't believe I liked the oyster with smooth bezel I'm so happy I didn't get that one lol Most recently I'm thinking to change my 16613 for a 116613 and its because I got a newer black sub and love the glide clasp and size and wrist presence, initially I wanted the 16613 I liked the deeper blue but now I'm starting to like the new blue as its flashier but I know in long run the 16613 is the watch to keep its just a classic and also looks classier on wrist vs the 116613. I'm even starting to like the batman/batgirl whatever it's called when on a jubilee, I think it looks great vs the osyter, and it's got me thinking of grabbing one |
