Paring down to 2 - pretty much a done deal but would appreciate thoughts
I’m not a hardcore collector, don’t buy into the hype, don’t buy to invest, and only get what I like if available and within budget. Got into the hobby only a couple of years ago, so a few other watches have come and gone. I’m not a VIP at any AD either, but for some reason I’ve been offered sought-after models, some of which are now discontinued (BLNR, white OP, ND SubC, 116710) but didn’t really pique my interest so I graciously passed. That said, I managed to get into the 116500LN “waitlist” at an AD last year, so only 9 years to go if I’m extremely lucky. But I’m also losing interest in the Daytona, if I’m being honest. So we’ll see..
In the meantime, would some of you guys please have a quick look at my current collection: The thing is, I’m paring down the collection to two, one of which MUST be the moonwatch (my 24/7 piece). For the other one I’m torn between the BB58 and Zenith EP. The SubC date will likely have to go (not bonding with it, no wrist time, doesn’t fit well, thick lugs, etc.). The Nomos has been commandeered by the missus so it’s also a goner. But for the sake of gaining perspective, let’s assume that this is your collection. Which 2 would you pick and why? Thanks for your time. |
