I bought the fluted oyster and love it! Similar look to the sky dweller. Dressy and sporty IMO.

Buy what makes YOU smile and don't look back.

If you're going the classical route, nothing beats a classic look with the jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel.

Just my 0.02$

Agree with this. If you plan to add to your collection over the next few years, would get Jubilee now and can get an Oyster sports model later on. If this is going to be your one and only, then would get Oyster.

Personally I like any DJ better on jubilee strap (for any age). But, as stated, that is a personal prefference. Also fluted bezel is a must if you ask me.

For what it's worth, my impression is that if you ask for any style opinion here on TRF, you end up with an "older" perspective that might not align with people in your age group.

Jubilee on DJ with fluted bezel. Super Jubilee, even better...if you can get it. FWIW, I went Jubilee on my first Rolex, a SS DJ at age 31.

RE style, it's true that the younger tatted up Vegas industry dudes wear smooth bezel on oyster. The bonus there is that they are way way cheaper watches and you could pick up an omega or enjoy a night with bottle service with the savings.

Jubilee. It shimmers and is definitely less prone to scratches compared to PCLs if that's important to you.

I agree with some of the prior posts; given your age, I'd go Oyster. If you were a little older/senior in your workplace, I'd go Jub.

My first choice and what I got was fluted with jubilee. The second choice would be smooth with jubilee.

To me, the fluted bezel adds way more bling than a jubilee bracelet does.

Perfect combo on a DJ imo is the smooth bezel with a jubilee bracelet. It flies under the radar without the flashiness the flutes (literally) create.

Rolex DJ - Jubilee or Oyster?

What do y’all think would go with my combo (DJ 41 steel fluted basel in blue dial)?

Jubilee or Oyster?

So happy that a 23 y/o is buying something that will last longer than 2 iOS updates! Kudos to you.

You can’t go wrong, but I do think the smooth bezel w/ oyster is a sportier look. The other combo is dressier.

I prefer the oyster because not only does it look younger but the bracelet is heavier.

The DJ in any combination works well. It depends on how much “bling” you want to handle. My favorite combination is jubilee bracelet with dome bezel and blue dial. It also depends on the dial color.

For example, a black dial with oyster and dome bezel could be the best combo for you. To me, silver or variation thereof, looks best with fluted/jubilee combination. Blue dial can go with any combination.

Jubilee for dressier look. Oyster for sportier look. Your lifestyle, your choice.

I thought I wanted fluted bezel/jub until I tried on smooth bezel/jubilee. Perfect combo for my mostly casual/edgy style. Definitely try on every configuration before you purchase

I actually think the smooth bezel + jubilee is the right constrast and prefer the fluted with the oyster bracelet. Maybe I'm in the minority but I find fluted + jubilee a little busy.

This is spot on imo. I have owned both. The jubilee dresses it up a lot more imo. I prefer the oyster on fluted. It’s more modern. I also like the smooth with jubilee. With the DJ41 you can swap bracelets. So just have your AD order you whatever you don’t buy with your watch. Best of both worlds. Mayors will definitely do this as they have done it for me before.

Rolex DJ - Jubilee or Oyster?

Ok so my follow forum member covered it up and already gave you the input I was going to give you. No need to repeat.
So I’ll deviate from the subject and say something crazy like pause on the DJ idea and consider buying a Submariner. That’s the watch I see me at 23 wearing :-)
But if the DJ is what you want “I love the DJ, don’t get me wrong” then the smooth bezel on oyster is the one I see fitting the best. Love the simplicity of that reference.
Finally everything we said here will become fuzzy whispers once you try all those configurations on your wrist one by one.
While doing it, forget what we all said and listen to your gut.

I went with an Oyster. But.. either way, you can buy a braclet separately from your AD afterwards. I was qouted 1550€ for a Jubilee for my DJ41.

like alot of people have said, the fluted bezel with the jubilee bracelet is classic. However, I think a fluted bezel with the oyster bracelet gives the watch a more updated feel.
