I am at a loss to hear about this accident. Of course, all concerned will be in my prayers. This is not just a watch forum, it can and will be a family when stakes are high and prayers are in dire need. If you follow along long enough here it will become apparent. You are in good stead and with good friends!

Thank you Unclesallie, but I really think it is me who is the lucky one. Just before I came to Japan in 1997, he told me not to worry about my mother, that he'd look in from time to time. I thought he meant once every few months, but he was there every week for the first 6 years! Once he got married he still took time out to check in without fail, every month. My mother always looked forward to him coming over. I don't know how I can ever repay that much kindness.
