My journey into Rolex world
After a year of reading and watching videos, I finally made my choice. My first Rolex would be a Sub 114060. A jewelry where I had a small purchase history became Rolex AD in November 2018. I walked in and discussed with salesperson. I explained why I made my choice of a 114060.
I received my first call from my AD in January 2019. He had a Sub Date for me. I politely declined the offer since my choice was a no date. In February 2019, I walked in my AD store. Just to talk. They just received a TT CHNR. Tried it on and ... loved it. But I did not buy it because of much higher price than I wanted to pay for a watch at that time. But I kept thinking about the feeling I had when the CHNR was on my wrist. Over the weekend, looking at pictures and watching videos of this Root Beer, I decided to buy it! I contacted my AD and... the watch was already sold... My AD told me that their next CHNR would be mine if I wanted. So I got the call in April 2019 and jumped on the occasion. And I thought this watch would be my only Rolex. Until I walked in my AD store in July. They had on display a DJ41, flutted, jubilee with blue azzurro dial. On my wrist and ... I could not resist... And I still had the 114060 on my mind. Got a call from my AD in August but it was not for a watch. Instead I was invited to Rogers Tennis Cup in Montreal in the Rolex lounge. Nadal in quarter finale. And also included a night at Birks Hotel. And that’s where I met a man named Mark. He was wearing a Hulk. Really stunning watch. I tried it on and I knew it would be my next Rolex... I knew the wait would be long. But never mind, I would not go grey. And then my AD closed temporarily with Covid situation. Last week I received the call!!! BB S&G, CHNR, DJ Blue Azzurro, Hulk |
