I think a Daytona is about as sporty as Rolex gets, and TT is more of a dressy look. So for me, it's not a great combo. But if it works for you, you're lucky, as it's a Daytona you can get without all the games and bs.

I owned both, I am not sure I agree with the two tone. The contrast of gold on silver really stands out more than the brushed SS against the polished SS surface. More balanced? The dial and subdial layouts are similar on all of them no?

Two tones have been back for several years. Many brands have "rediscovered" them as they become more popular.

Two tone are popular because there are so many available right now. SS will always be the one to have.

Here's another unpopular opinion 'round these parts: I prefer the Omega Speedmaster over the Daytona. The 38.5mm size is just too small for me and the sub-dials are not marked well enough to be truly useful. The Daytona is a beautiful watch, especially with the white face/black bezel, but its just not for me. One more for you guys, hun?

I have a TT Daytona, i got it because I love Chronos but I have a smaller wrist so not many out there fit me. I also refuse to pay massive markups. It's a very nice watch and as a slot in my rotation particularly on the weekends.
As a owner I have to say I don't think it's the best Daytona... I'd still take the SS any day if offered but there is simply zero chance I'm paying current grey market value for them. |
