As some one who foolishly let go a 14060M kit to get another 5 digit watch, Id say add it if you can. Looking back I shoulda just paid the cash instead of trading it away cause Ill likely never be able to get it at that price. 14060s (m) rose up in price and even the crummy pieces are asking $7k+. As time passes, the likelihood of the 5 digit pieces continuing to rise seems to be the trend with nicer pieces getting scarcer and scarcer. I tried to fill the hole with a blue bay 58 but it seemed like a consolation at best.

Another vote for the 5 digit...100%.
Just not a "supercase" fan...I just find a 16610 so much more comfortable...and a 16570 or a 16700(or similar takes) comfort to an even higher level...thinner, lighter no scuba suit extension to lug around and never use...partially joking but it does add thickness and weight that I don't like. |

So from a distance both watches are hard to tell apart - on that comparison it is a wash.
However, close up on your wrist, to you as you look down, the 5-digit is preferred - on this comparison the 5-digit wins. Thus, if a/the primary metric is how it looks, seems like the 5-digit has the edge. I say do it. |

I agree with all your thoughts. I love both and even though I'd give the 5 dgt Sub the edge I still like the substantial 'maxi' feel of the 6 dgt when strapping it on.

I like the look of the 5 digit but when handling them compared to a 6 digit a turn down for me.
The more substantial feel of the 6 digit, clasp and ceramic works best for me

Another vote for the five digit. I prefer the comfort of the older bracelet, the lighter weight and the aesthetics.
Tried the first maxi case and heavier bracelet when it first was introduced with the GMT2C and it didn't last long. I bought a new from AD Z Serial Sub Date in 2009 with the engraved rehaut, and it is still one of my favorite and most worn watches over 10 years later. |

Never liked the Maxicase. I'm still scratching my head at it.
