Agree. If I were the OP I’d ask the mods to delete this entire thread. We won’t mind. Never happened.

Since you’re on Reddit, stop by r/reptime, plenty of knowledgeable folks there will do a legit check for you. As most people here, I think you got a keeper! Both GF and watch!

I hope you didn't let your gf know. It's ridiculously rude. However obsessed.

I thought the GMT movement is hard to fake? I know for Rolex you have a different hand stack and wouldn't have the quickset hour hand. I'm not an expert but i would assume the same would apply to the Tudor GMT movement.

Its real easy to check if its real or fake.

A real one the date change will stick half ways after about one month of ownership, a fake will have no such problems !

PS Your Girlfriend appears to be a keeper !

I think you guys who are blasting the OP for checking the authenticity are way off and owe him an apology.

There are millions of fakes out there, thousands of bad actors on good web sites, and anyone could easily be taken. If my wife bought me an expensive watch from anywhere other than an AD, I be checking up behind her as well. Not because she doesn't mean well, or didn't check things out, but just because it's so easy to be ripped-off these days.

The Tudor is genuine.

Don’t know about your imaginary watch.

The end result is the same.

It’s almost certainly genuine. If tomorrow you find out the date stucks in between or jumped 2 days - it’s 100% real Tudor!

I don't think he was implying he was concerned his girlfriend would deliberately give him a fake watch.

I think the concern here is that he is worried she didn't know what she was doing with the purchase?

Does the date work well? If yes, it's a fake. (This last sentence is a joke OP)
It should indeed go beyond the circle. This is what kept me from buying one. This is a feature they picked up from the original Rolex GMT Master watches where the arrow would go just past the chapter ring. It's a heritage design cue that is pretty cool but not something I really like with the Tudor snowflake squares.

What he said, it's not that his girlfriend is trying to swindle him, it's a matter of his girlfriend trying to do something nice and someone taking advantage of her lack of knowledge and experience. I can tell you even though I blabber to my wife day and night about watches and she sees youtube videos with me, she wouldn't know an authentic Sub from a fake, or the difference between a Black Bay and BB58, nor does she know what a trusted seller even is.

The OP is just trying to confirm the watch and simultaneously protect his girlfriend if she was "conned".

Never pass up a significant opportunity: Loudly declare the Tudor as fake, and add some fake outrage. Then meekly suggest that a nice new Pepsi would help to repair the strained relationship.

OP, why not take it to an RSC and ask them to take a look at it ? I’m sure they’ll clear up any doubts.
