Seriously who is your AD? I gave 20% downpayment on this watch by my AD back in March and I was told that the wait will be up to 2 years.
What in the actual hell?

Don't know what to tell you other than it all comes down to relationships. He knows I am passionate about timepieces which I feel goes a long way.

Could also be spend history and location. You are in LA, after all. You are competing against the creme de la creme. I hope you are able to secure yours soon, the watch shines irl.

Yeah, give it some time. Am little surprised at people wanting this as much as posts seem to indicate. Not that it matters, but meteorite dials have not been all that popular in the past on other models. As long as owner enjoys...

Once novelty wears off, this dial should be like other meteorite dials they have released. It's difficult to read and looks washed out. Met an owner who even admitted doesn't use it to tell time.

I agree, in the past meteorite have performed mediocre. Maybe it is the new internet/IG hype, but whatever it may be, I am happy with the purchase.

I do not agree though that it is hard to read. Admittingly, I was worried about this after purchasing the watch prior to trying it on, but I have found no issue with the dial having a lack of legibility. Maybe it is your friend's eyesight

I think previous models such as Datejust 31mm or Daytona don't really bring out the beauty of the meteorite dials. 31mm is a little too small, and the busy dial of the Daytona with 3 subdials kind of ruin the "one piece" visual of the dial.

But Rolex is successful this time with the GMT meteorite dial. The GMT dial has only one opening for the date so it doesn't affect much the wholeness of the meteorite dial. The 18K WG and the Pepsi bezel really go well with the dial. Having a piece of meteorite in a GMT is also an inspiring idea. I have had my GMT meteorite for sometime now and while it is not the best choice for a daily for me, it never fails to make me admire its unique, beautiful dial whenever I pick it up.

I’ve owned the meteorite daydate for a few months, it’s without a doubt the most stunning watch that I’ve owned or has passed through
My hands or tried on.

It’s absolutely outstanding the dial adds such a great depth. Plus the diamond markers top it off for me.

First of all congrats on all the pieces. However you are also in NYC which is probably as, if not more competitive than LA. But you're saying in the past year you got the two most difficult and hottest steel pieces - hulk and daytona - AND the two hottest PM pieces - GMT Meteorite, Green Daytona, if there was an AD in Antarctica and I was the only person living there I doubt they would have done so well.

Maybe you're not sure but I doubt it comes down to just relationships and a passion for timepieces, we all have those. Even if your AD was allocated more watches than other ADs its still out of the ordinary for even the best relationships.

Anyway congrats again but lets not give others any false hope.
