Err buddies...not sure what is happening with Photobucket...
but lately...Orchi too gets the dreaded message..."Bandwidth Exceeded"... whenever Photobucket pictures are being blocked... n not being uploaded... IF you are using Firefox browser... you could try the following... So here it is... what Orchi has discovered to be the quick FIX to the problem... that Orchi wishes to share with the VRF Buddies here... or at the least with those that are using the Mozilla FIREFOX... At the FireFox browser... TYPE...........................: About:config PRESS Enter. When prompted, CLICK............: I would be careful, I promise Next Window would appear. In Field "Filter", TYPE........: network.http.sendRefererHeader FIND that Field at the bottom listing. RIGHT Click the Field, CLICK...: Modify On Next POP-UP, TYPE...........: 0 (instead of "2" as shown) CLICK..........................: OK CLOSE(X) the Window. NOTE: For those that has plenty of pics being hosted in PhotoBucket for FREE... or whenever your FIREFOX Browser fails to upload any pictures... IF you wish to...you could undertake the above measure... so as to prevent the same problem that Orchi had recently... even though...you may have not experienced it...just yet. IMPORTANT: TRY NOT TO BE TOO CURIOUS TO ATTEMPT MAKING OTHER CHANGES IN THOSE OTHER FIELDS found in the FIREFOX system... VOILA!!! ALL the pictures that were seemed to be "WIPE OUT" from the postings... in the relevant Forum...would be uploaded n "RE-APPEAR" again. NOT sure how that problem came about... but the above quick FIX has worked for Orchi...

Hello Orchi ,
These is a picture of a 9927xxx serial , does this mean that this would be an aftermarket dial as it does not have the wg rim around the hour markers ? The hands seem to match the age of the watch , but not the dial . I'm I right to assume that ? |

Here is mine. I had no idea the dials had this much variety. Mine is a 7.1mm serial number. It looks like the second variant to me.

Here's my 7.25m series 16750.
This is an all orginial GMT I bought a month or so ago. Hands, dial, bracelet, bezel ring, case, all untouched. Got box+papers too. Any marks on the pictures are crystal scratches or sensor dust.

Very good information, but I am a little confused now. I have a 7.44 million series 16750, and it has a MKII dial. Is it possible for this dial to be original to the watch, or is it a replacement?

I am confused, too. Mine is 8.50 million series 16750, BUT dial is a MKI! Is there any case it could be? Mr. Orchi

Reviving this thread.
From my readings on the internet, I believe both MK1 and MK2 dial are used from 6.2m s/n to WG era. We have seen MK2 in 6.x and 7.x s/n, likewise, we have seen MK1 on 6.x and 7.x s/n as well. Possibly Rolex had two dial variations during that period of time. Another thing I noticed is, there are lesser MK1 dials as compared to MK2 dials. |

I am about to a 16750 and have the option of a matte dial MK2 or gloss dial MK5. Both are with box and punched papers. Both are in excellent condition throughout, case, bracelets and bezels are great on both. I need your unbiased opinions as collectors please. 1 - The matte dial has relumed hands that match the tritium dial patina perfectly, the only way i could tell was to hold the UV light on it. 2 - The gloss dial is all original and with matching tritium dial and hands. Which would you go for and why? I can only buy one of them, the price is nearly the same between the two of them. Appreciate your answers very much. Peter |

Does anyone think that relumed hands that match the tritium dial perfectly is an issue? Only way to tell was to hold a UV light over them. Is it a deal breaker or not? |

Personally, relumed hands aren't an issue .... better than a relumed dial, I guess. Easier to find original hands if it bothers you later
