Agreed, even with money as no object I would opt for the Panerai but that's just me.

Thanks for posting up - good watch

He’s right to get rid of the RMs
Whole brand seems based of celebrity endorsement

He's had that watch for a long time. It can be seen in promo pics for Rocky III.

Sylvester Stallone presents 5 watches hes selling at auction

I think he bought it for Rocky 2, I’m pretty sure he bought the gold sub while he was shopping and he goes the whole celebrity thing buying expensive houses and cars.

Adrian his wife tries to get him to slow down the spending but of course he’s world champ and has no interest in slow down.

I met him once, many years ago, when he was making a film called Judge Dread (?). A very nice chap, not very tall but the biggest arm muscles I had ever seen! Hahahaha. He was learning how to play golf and was sitting at the bar in my golf club - looking rather mysterious in black shoes, black trousers, black shirt and black beret. But I got chatting to him - I wasn't entirely sure who he was initially as I'm not a film person and didn't (then) have a television. Anyhow, nice fellow.

Great watch and history.

I couldn't agree more with you. In my humble opinion, that Panerai is more important than Paul Newman's Daytona. Sure Rolex is "better" sure Newman, his wife and the era are great stories. However, I'd argue that Newman did not change the face of Rolex as much as Stallone changed the face of Panerai.

Very true, however Panerai have fallen off the cliff somewhat and in a round about way this may get it some exposure.

A really cool video to watch. He's still got a lot of charisma about him.

Yes, he's pumping up those RMs and you'd think the PAM should be a keeper, given its significance in single handedly resurrecting the brand.

Short story is, go long Rolex, short the RMs!

That Panerai put the name Panerai on the map ...

I hope Panerai doesn't forget that.

Just watched this video and then another w/ Sly interviewed by the manager of Patek for Wempe in NY. Ol' Sylvester could not have contradicted himself more in these videos.

Maybe he is going exclusively Rolex and Patek?

That's fine & dandy but his comments about his past watch experiences tend to evolve depending on the listener.

He’s an actor. One day he tells us he’s a boxer, the next day he tells us he’s a Green Beret. He can’t be trusted.
