Well guys. If they made the exact same watch, year after year, your vintage "sh|t" would be worthless.
You guys know what I mean when I saw "sh|t" right????? http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...82#msg_4435086 no shill here, just example....

I have been wondering the same thing. Nothing really innovative or complex. Nothing really hard to obtain. They just seem to be mass producing watches for the masses. Albeit they are good quality but how about something for the collectors.

I agree with you, seeing all the "new" stuff (for lack of a better word) coming out from Rolex, I am going to be going vintage. |

Laughable IMO...43mm is far from a 'wall clock'. How so many people can look upon a 40mm Sub and state "Perfect" yet the minute 3mm is added all of a sudden we're talking 'wall clock' status. Everyone out there knows just how big 3mm is...right? Just checking. |

You are right of course, 3 mm is not such a big difference but still enough to attract the oversized watch crowd lovers to Rolex, so you misread my statement. I am not saying 43 is "wall clock" size but close enough to attract these buyers. And that is what Rolex needed to satisfy demand, so as I said before, there is something to make everybody happy.
Btw , I own a Chopard Mille Miglia 44mm, think it looks great. But this one mm more moves the watch in to "wall clock" territory imo. (it also looks much bigger than a DS) In fact I only used the term "wall clock" because a year or 2 ago I was at a dinner (some benefit diner for the local animal shelter). We were sat at a table with some older people. One saw my Chopard and said to his neighbor "look, this guy took of his kitchen wall clock and put it on his wrist". We laughed about it and that was that. But the frase stuck and he was kinda right. |
