Has anyone seen this watch in the flesh yet? The dial and bezel are so much lighter than the press shots suggest. I also think I like the brightness of the silver - it appears lighter than stainless, almost like an aluminium.

Thanks for posting! Yeah, that's a hard pass. A swing and a miss. The OG black/gilt and navy blue are both fantastic. Hard to reinvent the wheel when you're nearly perfect, hence why every sub looks about the same. I think Tudor should have just made a black BB58 without the gilt, that would have been a hit.

The BB 925 I suspect will be the next hard to get piece once it drops. Tudor is a leader not a follower. Taupe is trending in all high fashion areas , clothes, purses , watches and Nike’s.

Flat brown/grey dull dial, solid silver case prone to tarnish and scratch easily. Mmm... I'm not too sure about that one.

I like the BB 58 silver. Interesting concept, the use of silver in a classic dive watch design, and the taupe dial and bezel make an interesting color scheme. It's not a retro piece, but some like the look of so-called "Tropical dials"--the pantina on old dive watches. I suspect that could be the inspiration of this color choice.

I have the Black Bay 58 in Blue, my only Tudor, and maybe it could use a brother...

I think it is stunning. Can't wait to see it in real life. While the silver might be a softer metal, it's greyish hue is outstanding. This is such a refreshing change from the 'new black' models, mostly blue and green, which are appearing everywhere. Well done Tudor!

I think this watch is either love it or hate it, and I love it! Probably won’t get it, but I do love it.

I personally don’t think the current black dial BB58 is that interesting. People love that watch and I don’t get it. Seen it in person and it didn’t do anything for me.

I might have to disagree. Though the silver is nice, I saw it starting to tarnish underneath by the lugs.

Owners might eventually get annoyed by this and the honeymoon will be over.

Im surprised nobody is really talking about the fact that silver is extremely prone to tarnish. If its brand new and already starting under the lugs in a year the entire case could be brown.

It's been brought up countless times on TRF already. I would be suspect anyone would be able to detect any tarnish on a newly released watch. Not saying it's impossible, but unlikely.
