Well expect there are thousands of others wearing the same watch possible millions world wide. And cannot see for the life of me why anyone would be sold on any job because the hiring manger was wearing any watch.

I’d take the job only if he got the watch from an AD at MSRP. Otherwise I don’t like working for dumb bosses

While getting paid is nice, after a certain point the dollar difference between jobs is insignificant - it’s all about the people you work with and the work experience.

If the people you work with appreciate the same things you do - the job is more enjoyable.

So if a guy wears one of the most over hyped Rolex watches ever, it automatically makes any job more enjoyable.Afraid watches clothes etc do not maketh the man, it's what inside the man that maketh the man, and not a watch he/she was wearing

I had an appointment with an MD surgeon that had done a skin graft on my leg. The graft had become infected, he was a little "abrupt" with my wife, but a busy man. I was wearing my 16800 and as he was talking to me I noticed a DSSD on his wrist. I said "nice watch" and pulled up my sleeve. From that moment forward, he was like my best friend, we chatted watches, and he gave me his home number, cell number, and implored me to contact him with any issues, at any time.

So the interviewer had good taste. Let’s hope his boss has a similar taste for your CV

He bought his Daytona 116500LN from DavidSW!

Good Luck with the job opportunity. Negotiate a great salary, 4-weeks vacation, yearly bonus tied to performance and stock options whenever possible!

Tell them you’ll come if you get a Daytona as a signing bonus.
Then you’ll know how much they want you.

My question is what watch was the OP wearing during the interview?

:)

Years ago, during one of my examinations for a board certification, I was wearing a gold Daytona and I noticed my examiner was wearing a Nautilus. I was nervous about the process and I think the guy got that. After the examination was over, he made a comment saying he liked my watch and I reciprocated saying that his Nautilus was beautiful. The examiner then gave me simple reassurance that I did well with the questioning, making me feel a lot better about a nerve wracking process.

In the right setting and at the right time, a common love of watches is a nice thing to share.

That is a much better scenario than if he was wearing a hoodie and an Apple Watch

I once turned down an offer from a guy with a Deepsea. I stayed with my boss who has a YG DD40.

Based on the watches alone, did I make the right choice?

So many opinions on TRF...mind blowing.

But let's back up a sec...did they throw you an offer ?

I've had interviews before where - about half way through - I realized this was not the job I thought I was interviewing for. Like they described the job in a way that was very different from the original job posting. Talk about awkward !

I’m sure the other boxes were ticked. It’s nice to be able to relate to your potential boss/co-workers in some way.

I work in tech so everyone is wearing either an Apple Watch or some other smartwatch. At least no fear of having my 5167A identified.

My interviewer was wearing a Patek?.

I turned down the job.

Hey, if that’s the best he can do?
