It took me 9 hours, back in Sep 2020. I called a local AD in the morning at 11:00 and was called back in the evening around 20:00. Their first 126613LB had just arrived with the Friday shipment and wasn't claimed by any existing customer. I had no purchase history. Their senior SA told me "I had been extremelly lucky". These days I'm being told they have several customers waiting for one, so it's probably a few months wait.

Where are you buying? We live in the same area.
With that much history you shouldn't have to wait for much of anything.

Sorry I missed your response. The only AD I've used is my AD in Exton. Its a mom n pop with two locations.

LOL - Similar experience, albeit at the other location in Newtown Square.

I used to get the occasional call or text about a SS sports model in 2017 / 2018. Nothing in the last year and when I do inquire these days about availability, I’m told by the SA I do business with that the watches I’m interested in are “committed” for the foreseeable future.

I’ve asked for a Pepsi for two years. Good luck.

I've started searching for this model and I was told about 6 months wait at the boutique in Chicago last week. I don't have any purchase history there.

Honestly it is baffling that this model is easier to get than a basic sub

Not it’s not. TT was always easier. My SA would hit me up every 1-2 months asking if I knew anyone interested in a Bluesy. This was in 2019 though.

Great looking watch, I had the 12 version. Not everyone loves TT and yellow gold. It is a beautiful, but can be a loud piece. Let’s not forget it is 5-6k more than SS retail. Not everyone wants to go north of 10k for a watch.

You’re preaching to a choir.
Except, I don’t think it CAN be loud it is LOUD.

If the TT Bluesy is LOUD are we calling the solid gold DEAFENING? :) I feel like the TT Bluesy is a bit flashy, but nothing crazy. I've still never had a single person acknowledge the watch, unlike, say, my white Swatch or my orange G-Shock. So "loud" and "noticeable" I think are highly subjective. I was listening to a podcast the other day where a guy mentioned living in a bad part of NYC 10 years ago but wearing his PM GMT on the subway every day and never getting a second look because it was so ostentatious people just assumed it was fake gold a la Nixon, etc.

But given the current hype around anything blue and the perma-hype around Submariners in general, I'm actually surprised this watch isn't much harder to track down.

2019 zero history walked into an AD while on a cruise in the Caribbean. Asked for it and they sold it.

Back in August 2019 I was looking for my first Rolex, a TT Bluesy. Called every dealer in a 200 mile range on a Saturday, one of them called back the following Wednesday.

I was now inquiring with my same AD (from whom I also bought a DJ41 white/stick/smooth bezel/oyster and a DJ41 blue stick/jubilee/fluted that I traded the white one in for, and a TT Rootbeer since buying the Bluesy) to get the new version of the same Bluesy. At first she said they will take my old one as a trade in and it should be just a couple of months. Then I was told it's going to be a while since I already got a Bluesy from them and that I am basically at the bottom of the list since other customers that are waiting on their first Bluesy will come first (understandably). Latest inquiry yielded "lots of people on the list waiting" and when asked if I can trade mine in the reply was "maybe? we will see".

Long story short, new customers get priority and they are not as easy to get as they used to be. Also, I should probably just keep my 2019 model, after all, it was my first new Rolex, and you're supposed to never trade those in or sell, right? I can also say that it was one of the last 40 mm versions.

Good luck on your quest, hope you will find one soon!

Somewhere between 1 day and never.

Seriously, easier to score than many others. It’s a realistic first purchase request.

With your history shouldn’t be too difficult.

I think you’ll either get taken care of with the holiday batches or have to wait until Spring. Guessing...

buddy got one earlier this year because he e-mailed the AD when one had just arrived. I got mine last summer because it was in the display case.

I love its look, but between the ss and tt, I'd always go for the ss. I last talked to the AD in May of this year about any TT sub and I heard 3-6 months (this is in the OC)

I live near you and was offered 2 TT subs in the last 4 months.
This should not be a hard deal to swing.
Check out AD in Willow Grove mall and call your other location in Newtown square.
There are also some ADs out west and in central PA that are nice to deal with.

Appreciate the insight. I'm in West Chester, and in a similar situation.

TT Bluesy is very hard to get now.

Its gotten worse in the last 3-4 months. Everyone says its easy or that they "know someone" but reality is very different.

You can say that again. Multiple ADs have told me that they are fully committed and will not take on new clients.

Just sent you a PM. We have the same AD. I'm in a similar situation, waiting on a SD43, except not with as large a spend history as you.

Very easy to get in 2020. I got return calls from 2 local ADs out of 4, with no purchase history. One return call on the very same day I registered interest, the watch had just arrived with their Friday shipment and was ready for collection. Unreal. Went the next day to try it on and was told no existing client had expressed interest for the watch when I first called.

Today however, one year later, it seems the Bluesy has gained a bit of momentum and ADs will probably give priority to their established clients. Might be several months waiting.

Asked about this at a London AD on Monday, was told the TT Bluesy would likely be quicker than the YM40 in platinum/blue, had the impression it would likely not be too long

I'm glad to read this post. I've been thinking pretty hard about getting my first two tone for my 50th in 18 months. I think I have it narrowed down to the Submariner, but likely the black dial over the bluesy. Glad to hear they are relatively easy to come by.

AAAAAAAAAh-Get the bluesy!
Money aside I would rather wear a blue Timex or Armitron by far than a dreary black sub.

I recently went on vacation to one of the classier northeastern beach vacation spots and the black sub was extremely pedestrian. It was basically an Apple watch in terms of frequency. I'm glad I also own a hulk lol. The black sub just felt boring at times.

Between the two, you’re making the correct choice :)

I picked up a June 2020 116613LN in April 2021 from DSW and paid slightly less than retail; but I knew that was a great deal. I love this watch.
