No, no, please keep the myth alive longer until I get my blue dial one.

And yes, obviously SS bezel scratches more than ceramic bezel. But shhh....

LOL - mate I am the most cautious with my watches. I defintely know how to not to bang them around.

Trust me all these AP ROs are ding magnets. Its worse on them when you ding it because they are so hard to polish out as well. Not every joe blow can do it properly.

With a Rolex the job is 10000x easier. When I get home from work I'll dig up some pictures of my old AP 15400. Worn very very lightly and with extreme care and you can still see the hairlines badly. Worse if its on the bezel your screwed.

Very different pieces, but the 15500ST is the move - no question.

The craftsmanship is in a class of its own, and you already have a DJ. Would be nice to expand into different brands IMO.

If the yellow gold sub, then I'd choose the RO. If the white gold sub (with blue bezel), then I'd choose the sub

AP white dial would be my choice.

Interesting responses so far, seems that most people feel pretty strongly one way or the other, with a slight lean towards the gold sub. I guess the clear and correct TRF answer is to one day have both! Anyone have a few comparison photos of a gold sub and AP RO side by side?
