Even though I own many modern watches.. I got 5 digit Explorer II and it's not even SEL and it's one of most comfortable bracelets ever. It just disappears on the wrist and silky butter smooth feeling. Totally love it.

5 digit bracelets are the most comfortable I have every tried. Sometimes I forget that I am wearing them, and that's exactly what I want.

I completely agree. Especially when they are slightly worn in.

5 digits are generally more comfortable.
The newer OPs & Explorer are fine. Its the dam massive clasp on the Subs etc that I find unnecessary and uncomfortable.

I wear my 1675 most days because it’s thin and light, which makes it more comfortable.

I much prefer the comfort of my 5 digit over 6 digit bracelets . Lighter, conform to my wrist better, numerous micro adjustments on the non-bulky clasp. Don’t get me wrong, I wear my 6 digits a lot too and appreciate the over engineered bracelet and clasp (easy link or glide lock), but their predecessors are just more comfortable on my particular wrist.

That rattly sound is what gives it its charm. I’ve had 5 and 6 digit Rolex’s and now have gone back to 5s and will never look back. 5 digit Rolex’s are tool watches the 6 digits are just jewelry, IMO.

I’m /was happy with both actually. My 16610 was light and nearly unnoticeable on the wrist, but lacked that tight accuracy my 124060 has and a better build to resist torsion motion.
I LIKED the jingly jangly characteristic of the 5! I did not like the stamped cheap clasp. I’d take the 6 digit bracelet I guess due to overall build quality. I see valid points from both camps though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s subjective, I don’t like the 5 digits bracelets at all, never have.
Like mentioned I also keep them for sentimental reasons only

glidelock on a 93150 might be the key.

I recently bought a 16523 SEL, most comfortable watch Ive owned, and Ive owned a few.
Very happy with it and I recommend ANYBODY to try it, I know TT gets a lot of hate, but the 16523 turned me in to a believer! |

5 digits have less removable links, for small wrists like mine (6 inch), the clasp is not centered

5 digit GMT on Jubilee is the lightest and thinnest and most comfortable bracelet for me.
I owned a Sub C but found the Glidelock too long and thick and in the way and it couldn't be easliy adjusted without looking which is not true of the Easylink on a 6 digit GMT though. The latter is my second favourite. The 2 positions of adjustment are perfectly spaced. As the guys say above though: the older refs with rattly bracelets are just much lighter all around and don't need any micro on-the-fly adjustment afer they've been fitted properly. |

Love the lightweight of the older ones. I've added a Easylink to the bracelet of my 16570 and now it's more comfortable and practical than ever...

The most comfy in my opinion is the 6 digit Daytona in SS (assuming you can get a proper fit). Has the case proportions of the 5 digits, with the 6 digit bracelet quality, ends up feeling more bracelet like on the wrist than watch like. I do like the lightweight feel though of my 5 digit and that in itself can be more comfy depending on the activity.

I think the 5 digits imo are way less heavy and more comfortable, the 6 digits you know you have on one the wrist it very tank like if you understand what I mean. Either or both are great watches just my 2 cents
