I'm not on a waitlist at the moment, and TBH I don't think I will for the foreseeable future..... and it feels GREAT!

The last wait I had was almost 2 years (which was by far the longest I've ever had) for a BLRO, and when it came in I decided it wasn't for me after all. I canned it for two reasons - firstly, I don't trust the 32xx movements enough yet, and secondly I just didn't like the execution of the bezel colours enough in person.

There's a couple of discontinued models I'm still after, but obviously I can't get those from an AD, so there's no wait.... but there is the "market price" to contend with. However, I personally find it way more liberating to know that I can buy pretty much whatever I want with no wait at all, albeit with more expenditure, than faffing about waiting for an allocation from my AD. (And although I'm not a whale by ANY stretch, I've been using the same AD for over 20 years and have a very good relationship with them).

And I just got on the waitlist with my BMW dealer to order a new car as well, so now not only one day soon will I be able to tell time without asking someone, I'll be able to drive myself to the AD to pick up the new watch.

hmmmm....
Just out of curiosity, what was the projected wait time for your BMW?

The first rule of “wait list” is you do not talk about wait list.

Yep, waitlist for two references, one of which I don’t even want to entertain anymore.

The wait has killed the desire for the one piece and I bought something else instead.

Fun read for the waitlist club. It appears Rolex is doing exactly what many TRF members have suggested.

Yep, since May '21. It's getting tiresome.

Yep, on the waiting list for a few watches. I've been told I'll definitely get a call...

They added me but also told me I need to spend money before I get to anything. Also, the salesman kept pulling Tudor models from the back that were not on display. That kind of bothered me because they for sure have watches in the back and most likely what you are looking for, but you aren't "in."

My local waitlist club has meetings the 2nd Friday evening of every month that ends in a consonant. We meet behind the nearest 7-11 and switch off who buys the snacks. Last meeting I gorged on Hostess Cupcakes

You forgot to include pics. Here is one of the wrist shots for the last meeting.

my two go too AD's that I bought most of my Rolexes from years ago have recently lost Rolex.. i was supposedly on waiting lists with both of them..

A 'new one', whom I know personally a long time, promises they can get me a Green Bezel Sub soon but I'll believe it when i see it.

I've only bought one other low priced watch recently as I felt it was a nice token from my side as there is a chance they are being honest...

I'll know this week if it's true...

The waitlist club

I’m done with Rolex and their Ad’s. Many better brands out there who respect their clients!

Omega is a great choice. I’m loving it so far. Panerai, jlc and zenith are also great choices

My WG Sub arrived today from a gray source. Took it to local AD (major dealer). They had one single Rolex in the store… a blinged out yellow gold DD with a tacky diamond bracelet.
