Enlighten me why Rolex would change the dial for you on one of their lower end watches but not the other?

The only reason I can think of for buying that watch is to stand outside an AD and charge a queue of hype followers 100 a pop to selfie themselves wearing it, after the first 300 you'd be in profit!

I just saw an OP41 Turquoise listing on C24 that was listed for $30k just dropped to $24k. Although I expect the seller never really thought they would sell it for $30. C24 chart seems to indicate that people are listing at $35k but selling for average of $27k at the peak in mid January

Actually I'm not sure how C24 is generating this chart, maybe they're mixing all the colors? i don't know. Take it with a grain of salt.

Either way i would not pay 25% more than retail for this watch. It's not worth it.

The most overrated watch I have ever seen. So its a fake "Tiffany" OP (6k) watch that people are paying 500% over MSRP for? Unbelievable. If you like, buy at retail.

Hey. it fits really well on my 7 inch wrist, dial color is cool IMHO - discarding the market price, but watch and dial color and in 41mm sizing is really unique for Rolex. personally i would not buy that very high price at this point, i might would do at less than 15000 eur or so if i really want one and have money. PM me if need more inputs :)

Hopefully whoever is buying at that price sold their Facebook stock to fund before the earnings call tonight

I bought the OP41 Turquoise from DavidSW in January 2021 for $12k. At that point I just loved the watch, loved the seafoam-blue (kinda) dial, and was willing to pay the significant markup to a known grey dealer. Who could have predicted what was going to happen vis-a-vis price during the second half of last year!?

This question is a perfect explanation as to why the Tiff OP has exploded in value recently
Patek guys (who probably graduated from Rolex a decade ago) saw the Tiff 5711, realized they couldn't get one and then jumped on the OP because if you're used to paying for Pateks on a semi regular basis, $30k is par for the course

FOMO has never been stronger than it is right now...

Seems like it’s getting quite a bit of hate for some reason. I don’t recall the OP asking if everyone thought it was worth 35k… but that seems to be the common response… it’s not worth 35k. We get it.

Money aside (which is apparently all that rolex is to all of you anymore!!! Lol) it’s a really fun watch. The 41mm OP is a fantastic size. The proportions are excellent. I have a 7” wrist and I find this watch to be a real sweet spot for me. If anything very slightly large on me but almost perfect. It’s comfortable, relatively thin and simple in all The best ways.

Now what you came for… the dial admittedly took me by surprise when I first saw it. I got mine before the Patek release btw if anyone is questioning the “hype bias” haha.

Anyway, it’s a really beautiful color. Not only did I like the color more than I thought I would, I never thought I’d actually want to wear something that color but it just works. I absolutely love it.

If you’re bored of Patek there might be some other Rolex models you might want to try out first, but if you’re here on the forum you probably only want what you want, which we all understand around here lol.

Good luck!

Some dials have a certain designation that does not allow a swap. Just like you can't swap a SS Daytona500 from black to white, you can't swap a black OP41 to a turquoise, but you can swap the black for a silver. It's just the way it is.
