Funny you ask, I actually passed on a black Dial Daytona while waiting on a new Pepsi on Jubilee. Since then I’ve bought both the white and then black dial SS Daytona.
Glad I got them when I did.

gmt for the win.

aside from it being a beautiful watch to look at and wear, the Daytona is utterly useless if we are being honest.

I have Pepsi and white Daytona, so I would go for black Daytona for sure.

Since I’m not chomping at the bit for either of these I would take the Daytona, keep it unworn in my safe for a year or so, then call that same AD and ask if I could trade my BLNR and my Daytona in toward a meteor dial WG BLRO. Then if I just had to have a BLNR id request another one down the road or from another AD I have a relationship with.

Had a GMT so it would have to be a Daytona.

I'd go Daytona because that is my grail. I recently put my name down on a list for the Pepsi w/ Oyster. I didn't bother with the Daytona . Whether or not I'll get the call... We'll see.

Likelihood of being offered a Daytona or going on a date w/ either of those is probably about the same

The correct choice here is BOTH!

Choose one

Just had this scenario yesterday, and went with black dial Daytona. Always thought I wanted the GMT, but when it came down to it, the Chronograph is more useful day to day than the GMT for me as I don’t cross time zones all that often.

Should be able to collect in the next week or so, and I’ll post some pictures and impressions!

I'd pass. I already have the SS Pepsi and I don't like the Daytona.
