233 for me... Don't get me wrong... 270 is sweet... very sweet... But, I really like the 233.

I think the 312 is a good alternative to the 233. Definitely save some money. In fact, save enough to pick up another PAM. That would be compelling. Collectors will own both probably...

For me, I don't think a 312 is in my future because I already own the 233.

If I only could pick one PAM - I think that pick would go to the 233.

Good Luck with your choice though. Both are excellent and they look great casual or even dressed up IMO.

Sorry just to add on the 233 has the GMT function which the 312 does not have...

Then there's 320! Basically a 312 with GMT hand and higher retail price for that hand!

The 317 would be a different story just because.
Yeah, I am not going to be first adopter thing. Let others be beta testers! 317 is a helluva of a watch with helluva price to match!

DON'T get the 312!!! Get the 233 or 270!! I purchased the 321 and two months later I want to sell and upgrade to that dome... Trust me you will want to upgrade. Don't take the hit I haft to take.... The only reason to get the 312 is if you want the 312 plus 382 instead of the 233 or 270.. Panerai love will force you to spend that cash.....

275 is not a 270

The 275 is a beauty. I have the 233 and I think it is destined to be a classic, but Panerai balanced the detailed dial perfectly.

However if I was going for a 1950 cased chronograph I would be after a 317, the ceramic version of the 275.

The thing that get with the 233 is the "tunnel" strap, which is my favourite so far.
