First, line up your hour hand directly at the sun. Then engage your chronograph until your elapsed second hand lines up perfectly with the horizon. Read the Tachymeter, add that number to the number of days to the next full moon and whalah! You'll have the accurate date for the month. BTW this only works in the Northern Hemisphere...sorry JJ.

So where was I? Thats right, Im thinking of buying a Rolex...Where should I buy it? Grey or AD?

This is the poorest excuse for a hijacking that I think I have seen here. As the masters (Allan, Frans, Adrian) have indicated, hijacking is a sophisticated, refined, and very complex art. It is not something that should be tried by amateurs. And it should never be done at home except under the careful and continued supervision of an expert.

If you look around, you will find excellent examples of masterful hijackings on TRF. This is clearly not one of them.

You just have to know your limitations, Dave. We all have them. It's just a matter of accepting what you can and cannot do.

But don't say never. Just keep watching and learning from the masters. And take baby steps. On occasion, stick your toe in the water and try a hijack. Pretty soon you'll get the hang of it. The main thing to remember is that you cannot start a hijack thread. A hijack has to come in the middle of a thread. Although there have been some extreme examples of a hijack that started with the second post. But this can only be done by a sensai black belt hijack master of the 32nd degree.

It is something to which every novice hijacker can aspire.

Every bloody thread of mine gets hijacked by the Dutch Git, The Redneck Git and the Tranny Brighton Git from post two...they lay waste to them before the master hijackers appear by page 2 and then finish off the scraps (You know who you are Ed and Allan!).

Even my flipping serious threads to the complaint section get hijacked...luckily the three offending gits don't hang around in there but the two masters and their pupil for New York always show up.

Don't even get me started on that pain in the butt Adrian!!!!!!!!!!!

Just call me hemeroid Jimbo.

I think we need a bit of a recap on what this thread is about, well it's about going off topic. Therefore the real masters of the hijack have refrained from doing this and as such have deftly hijacked the thread. We did leave several clues throughout but to no avail. Oh well back to the telly.

Ok, you got my curiosity! What's on the telly that's more important than TRF?

Well the cricket was on but that's got nothing to do with hijacking so I won't go there.

Laminated Hijack?!? I like it, Adrian!

Multi-layered hijacks, if performed by non-professional hijackers and screwed up royally, can be dangerous to their health. One of the professionals may come in and kick them to the curb, or worse!

Well Jim, it seems you have a firm grasp of the situation. You may just have to live with it. Things could be worse - you might not ever have any thread read or responded to. That would be a lonely existence on TRF, wouldn't it, my friend!
