To sell or not to sell my 116520
Ok, first off I don’t need edification either way from a message board, however I would love to chat about the place of the 116520 in the world of SS Daytonas since the ceramic bezel bro’s have basically rendered all talk of their predecessor moot. So I recently was able to purchase my RG OF Daytona and have been bitten with the PM bug. I purchased the 116520 1k under msrp in 2015 and it’s in great shape. My logic here is, take advantage of a still strong market for the 116520, wait and see if my other more grail PM pieces drop in the secondary market and then use the funds and profit to upgrade.
Will I miss my 116520? Absolutely it is a stunning watch and the steel bezel is more pure to the history, but if prices correct and demand lowers I could probably be reunited with it again. So what would I use the profits to acquire? Here is my shortlist one of the below: WG Sub Smurf / Cookie Monster RG SkyD or RG DD olive So what are the communities thoughts on letting go of a classic Daytona in the pursuit of PM?
