Absolutely! From your description you sound like you are slim; that would mean that 36mm would look fine. I think a 4mm difference from your YM wouldn't be a big difference. The diamonds as markers looks sharp too: very dressy, not effeminate.

Go for it. I think a diamond dial is no problem on a man's watch. And 36mm is, has been, and always will be, a mans size watch. It has stood the test of time, as people from MLK and Dwight Eisenhower to Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig have worn 36mm Rolex. And don't forget that Rolex's potential largest markets in Asia still seem to flock to 36mm DJs and DDs.

Could a guy wear that watch? Absolutely. Anyone can where anything they want.

However, I think it is very feminine and would look more appropriate on a woman's wrist than mine.

While I'm at it, I'm tiring of the notion that the 4-5mm increase in SOME of the Rolex line is what makes the man. Maybe it will stick around, I don't know, but the fact that a guy has to question his masculinity or sexual preferences because of said 4-5mm, as some of the posts in just these few pages indicate and other things I've been watching on this forum since said fad began, pisses me off. If you love it you should buy it. Opinions from the board are great to hear but at the end of the day you have to look at it everyday. I wore a 36 mil datejust today and I must say it is the most comfortable watch I own. FYI My AD said we could see some 41 mil datejust in the early fall.

The 36mm men's/women's debate still goes...Granted, I see ALOT of HUGE!!!! I mean like oversized ridiculously HUGE watches, especially on the younger thug looking guys on the train. Forget Panerai, these look like 50mm and up, usually iced out with CZ's or some other fake 'diamonds'...I look at it like this...Tony Soprano wore the 36mm DD every episode except the pilot. Did it look small on him whatsoever?? HELL NO!! Obviously the show ran before the DD II came out, it looked perfect on him and he's a good 6'1, 240, 250 lbs??

Nothing wrong with that watch for a man. I have a 36 mm ss DJ and I think it is perfectly proportioned for me. I am however 5'6". I have the larger DJ with diamonds for my formal watch.

It's not so much about the watch but your comfort level. When a person is comfortable with who they are, I believe they can carry off most anything. If you like the watch, and want to purchase it, that's precisely what you should do.
