The Submariner. I don't like the gaudy lettering on the inner ring (I don't know the formal name of the part) between the crystal and the dial on the DeepSea.

Submariner with date, it is thinier, you can look at the date without a microscope, and it is safer because suggests you to stop your diving at 300 meters!!!!!

While shopping for a new Sub a couple months ago I tried on a DeepSea. Its an impressive piece to be sure but damn its Ginormous! It seemed to big and seemed like it was screaming "Look at me". If I had wrists the size of Andre the Giant it would look in scale but I dont so I purchased a Sub ND.

I love my DSSD but it's not an everyday watch. That's OK with me because I rotate it with 8 other watches, rocking the DSSD on weekends mainly. For someone with a smaller collection of maybe 1-3 watches that needs that core watch with everyday versatility, I'd go sub all the way. Especially with the new ceramic bezel subs. Love em.
