I'd trade for the Bluesy such an iconic watch

I'd say yes. You're trading for a more premium option. Keep it simple. Gold>Steel.
But ultimately it's whatever you like to wear.

These type of questions make no sense, do what makes YOU happy, not what any of us would do. YOU will be wearing and looking at it, so isn’t that all that counts?

Ultimately up to you and your preference. For me, no way I'm trading the LV.

I’d met the LV settle in to your collection. Add the other one down the line at some point, if it still sings to you

No right answer, only preference as both are great watches. I prefer the TT over the green bezel LV. If it was a Hulk, then it would stay.

Thank you very much for all the replies. I am really undecided. Somehow my heart beats for the blue Sub. on the other hand I think that the green Submariner is rarer and not so easy to get again, especially as MK 1.
My buddy is coming back from vacation in 2 weeks. Will report then how I have decided. |

My only gripe with the new bluesy is the white text and white gold applique. Should have stuck with YG I think.
I think making a 2 tone without a date would look extra swell too.

Gotcha. Just the golden text then. I think the tritium also makes older ones look even more golden as they age.

In my opinion these 2 watches couldnt be more different. The LV, even with the green bezel, is very much an under the radar watch. The Bluesy is up there with the brightest watches Rolex makes. The yellow gold / steel contrast and the bright blue dial cant be missed.
If you want to be noticed, make the trade. If it helps make the decision easier - I saw you mention you think the LV may be rare because its an MK1 - and this being a reason to keep it - I think the opposite. I think the MK2 will be the more desirable of the two. So if you trade it and replace the LV it would be a plus. All that said, I much prefer the LV (even the MK1). |

I'd keep it simple, if you like both, the bluesy is the more premium watch and contains precious metal and would be a logical trade up.
Same money and conditions, precious metal>steel

I do not agree with a no date version as my first Submariner in 1979 was a date watch and the cyclops was sooo cool in those days, doesn’t look right to me without it…however, I was so fortunate to buy my 116613LB with larger case lugs and gold dial text just two weeks before it was discontinued. So happy with this watch!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Massive NO GO!
Trade for a week or something, borrow it. But no way on that trade. |
