A few of my "Lower End Pieces"

There's more of them plus a few, for want of a better description, "Medium Range" watches. I particularly like Tags Heuers. They all get wrist time and a few of them have made their way into my wife's collection. Like me, she puts fun before flex and can do cheap and cheerful just as happily as aspirational luxury. And it won't break your heart (so much) of you bash them.

Forgot to mention my Sinn, and my Tag, as two other Swiss watches in my collection. Also, I own a Nomos Glashutte.

Some of my more expensive Seikos are stunning pieces. So, I wonder do others have lower end hidden gems in their collections? Aside from my modern pieces, I collect vintage Seikos, that I have completely restored, and they run flawlessly. Do any of you collect the way I do, or am I an outlier?

I only have the one Rolex, a 16710 GMT that my bride bought me for our 15th anniversary. I once had a Tudor Tiger that I loved but had to sell it. The rest of my mild collection consists of a Mido Multifort, a Squale 2002A 101 atm, a Seiko Black Monster SRP307, a few citizen Eco-drives and my newest allocation thanks to TRF'S Blansky; a Casio Pro-trex PRG270, which I happen to be wearing right now.
It's not a particularly valuable collection by most accounts but each one is pretty cool for one reason or another.

that is absolutely hysterical. I can't imagine someone being so arrogantly superior and yet utterly unaware that his personality and attitude is repellant to decent people. I mean, except for the part where he has no friends, that should alert one to a problem at hand.

My omega seamaster 120 is my lower end piece that I normally don't include in my collection shots. I actually wear this piece quite often (well maybe once per month). Normally when I want to be low key or I'm going to be in the rougher part of town.

This is an automatic chronometer with an ETA based movement. It was my first nice watch that was my daily for about 3-4 years before I upgraded.

Quite right. Sentimental value is pretty high on them, but to anyone else from the outside looking in, just stuff destined for the bin. I do want to get them up and going again. Particularly my dads old Eddie Bauer watch my mom got him for Christmas one year when his GMT Master stopped working. Always loved that one. Just sentimental stuff

Kat, Hope you're proud of yourself.
Thanks to you, I have to stop calling my watches 'a collection'.

My lower end watches have been given to my sons thru the years. Steinhart, Christopher Ward, Seiko, Tag Heuer, Tudor, they are wearing and have in their young collections.
I have 4 Rolexes, a Panerai, and a Breitling in my current personal group.

I have quite a few vintage Omega Seamasters, my experience has been that by the time your friend has seen the 5th box of watches, that they have gotten the idea and are getting a little bored.
I have shown my collection to four people that I thought would appreciate them, only one had an interest at looking at them all, and I think he had more interest in the monetary value.
