I’ve tried it on multiple times and you have to experience it in real life to understand it. The bracelet and case finishing are beautiful and the build quality is really good. The dial also is a sight how it plays with light. The price of CHF19.000 is justified in my opinion.

I know inspiration has to come from somewhere.
But this was unexpected for me. Heavy streamliner/ vantablack vibe from a 40 year old Vacheron. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This video showcases really well what the watch looks like in real life and how the details, finishing and dial shine and play with the light:
https://youtu.be/TzRxBn_JMtU?si=Tau5AFDlNXR35dZ4 Given that the Royal Oak and Overseas cost at least 8k more, I would say it’s really well priced too. The design is an acquired taste, but as always it's something subjective. |

All I know is the new collab with MB&F for Only Watch with the panda DJ’ing the minute repeater chimes is amazing! If only I had the money; it’s just such a cool and fun piece! Really highlights this bracelet and case too.

What makes it special?
I honestly don't know. I could dissect its components and tell you about bevels and polishes and forms...but none of that is it. When the center seconds was introduced about three years ago, I saw the first images and I had a strong response. I HATED IT! I discussed with my watch buddies about how the form was just off and how it just didn't work for this reason or that reason. Like a 7 year old on the playground, i kept focusing on one girl and telling her that i hated her...all the while focusing on THAT girl. I already owned one Moser and i adored it. There was virtually no hype around Moser at the time. Gold watches were selling for half of retail. Complicated ones for less (as a percentage). This watch, however, was making a stir. I was talking with the salesperson where i had bought my other Moser and he asked if i had seen the Streamliner. I deflected. He fawned over it. I took note. I found myself "stalking" the watch. I just kept looking at it. I am self employed and business was doing well. I just couldnt get it out of my mind. Dammit. I made a couple of phone calls. Could i get one? Maybe? It arrived December 23rd 2020. I wrapped it and put it under the Christmas tree. In the three years that have passed, I can tell you this. No watch has gained me more interest in the watch community. I can wear a Lange, VC, Czapek, Urban Jurgenson, Groenfeld, etc and NO ONE cares. However, when i wear my Streamliner to a watch store or show i am stopped continuously by folks who want to know about it. The most obscure one was at a Ramen house in Chicago where a stranger came up and started a conversation. Watch afficionados are just fascinated by this watch. That doesnt make me like it more, it is just a phenomenon that this watch has. It draws US in...watch "nerds" need to see it. When i look at it on my wrist, it just fits right. The view of the case where the bracelet hits the case just looks magnificent. This summer, before a big surgery, I revised my will. I left instructions that several friends could choose a watch as a remembrance. I specifically excluded the streamliner. It is the watch my daughters associate the most with me because i wear it the most. One day they will argue over who gets it. THAT is special to me. Every day that I have known this watch it has evoked strong feelings. Hate or Love....doesn't matter....it evokes an emotional response. That is why it is special to me. If it doesn't do that for you, look elsewhere. Something will. |

^^^ SeXXXY! In rose gold it blows my mind.
Was at Watches of Switzerland @ Wynn Vegas and they had the rose gold tourbillon / Vanta black dial. OMG it was amazing! It was waiting to be picked up / presold, thankfully they took it out of the back room to show it to me. Also saw a few other goodies while there. If anyone goes to Vegas, visit WoS @ Wynn.

I really liked it, i got one of the first ones. I couldn't get along with the bracelet though. It's a me thing, since everyone else seems to have no issues, but I had issues with it. What impressed me most though was Mosers customer support and aftersales communication. That's what really stood out, they really tried to fix things, overnighter parts etc. Just from that I wouldn't hesitate to get another moser.

Double hairspring tourbillon... when one hairspring is just not quite perfect enough

I would think that if anyone is looking for the next Nautilus or Royal Oak, it would be the Gerard Perragaux Laureato. I think the Streamliner is too radical in design to be the next mainstream "it" watch

I feel like if GP was gonna be the next Nautilus or RO it would’ve happened already. That being said I do agree for some it def could be “too radical.” I’ve yet to have one of my non-watch friends like the Streamliner when I showed them pics of it. They think I’m crazy for wanting one.

The next Nautilus or Royal Oak will be some currently obscure or not yet designed YG strap watch or will it be something in plastic?

With respect, am not a fan of the RO or Naut so am looking for fun timepieces i personally love and keep. Yes flippers like the RO and Naut. And yes, herd mentality followers go for the obvious that you see at every gtg all the time. Kinda boring to see the Ro/Naut/Aqua nowadays, yet an H. Moser double-hairspring tourbillon is very, very rare.

My personal impression is 1) the Laureato is a fine watch. I really like it. 2) Like the Nautilus and Royal Oak (certainly the Jumbo) it wears very slim on the wrist. However, 3) the all round finishing - but particularly that of the movement, the hands and markers... eh also the dial - is nowhere near as excellent as the Patek Philippe or Audemars Piguet watches. It is not bad. But it is not in the same tier. And for that matter I think that the Streamliner's finish is also significantly more advanced than the Laureato. Now you might point out that the PP, AP, and Moser are all more expensive than the GP. True. But the GP starts at £12,200 in my country. And the IWC Ingenieur starts at £10,500. The GP depreciates quite significantly. I would not be surprised if the Ingenieur does also once the initial scurry has died away. Basically what I am thinking is that the GP and IWC options are quite agressive on pricing and that if I had allocation of one of the higher quality finish watches, I'd prefer them. |

The one thing is don’t like with the centre seconds is the industrial finishing lf the movement plus the fact it is used across several models and lines. I prefer the chrono for that reason alone.

One thing I do support, however, is if Moser makes more bracelet option watches.
I think so many of their designs could benefit from a bracelet, but not sure why they make it so rare. More deployant clasps would also be nice. |

As for those asking what the OP likes. He has an 18k Cartier Santos Carree 2960 that he often shows in the Cartier Santos thread. That is a great looking watch in my opinion. Very different from the Moser offerings, but fantastic looking nonetheless |

Sort of unrelated but anyone planning to stop by the new Moser location in NYC? I’m hoping to go as soon as I can but curious if anyone else is as well.

I think it's a unique piece in a sea of integrated bracelet watches.
It has an art deco style that's appealing and the fume dials needs to be seen in person. Seems like it draws out emotions from both the love it and hate it crowd. I would like to see a refined micro-rotor movement version, which would also help thin the case a bit. If you don't like art deco or fume dials, then pass, but for others, I think people do a double take. Perhaps it is a polarizing piece, glad it exists. Having had the pleasure to dine with Edouard and Bertrand Meylan, I can attest to their genuine passion for horology. The evening was filled with delightful conversations, great food, and even better company. Their commitment to their clients is commendable, and I'd highly recommend participating in their events if given the opportunity. Awesome stuff! So much good stuff on that table. I am enamored by their colorful dials. I can’t get enough. I’ve currently got a Pioneer Mega Cool and Streamliner salmon dial and want to add more. Love that green dial Endeavor and a few of their other models are also on my radar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

From a purely aesthetic point of view I find the watch “meh”. I’m sure in aspects such as the movement, finishing, etc., they are world class it’s just that I find the Streamliner very boring to look at face on.

I really wanted to love the Moser. Seems like all the boxes are checked, but I tried one on and way really unimpressed. Can’t put my finger on it, but didn’t look right on my 7.75 wrist. I tend to like bigger watches and the AP and VC really look natural on my wrist.
The moser bracelet is excellent, but the watch itself sat on my wrist like a little pill box. The dial color is amazing but I can’t unsee the similarities between the face and an old Gucci watch I wore in the early 80s. I think people really hit it on its head. I like watches that are more classic looking. The Moser a bit too hipster for this old fart |
