I never have flipped a watch, and I have many. If I tire of a watch, I gift it to a family member. I think the flipping has come to an end, with few exceptions (steel Daytona and Pepsi). I’m glad about that. Hopefully now those who really want a Rolex will have a chance.

I've been thinking about picking up a Khaki Field but read some have had issues with the movement. Wouldn't mind throwing some business the way of the local Seiko/Hamilton AD. How do you like yours?

And of course, congrats on the gorgeous TT Sub.

Thanks,
I like the Hamilton a lot. Got the 38 Titanium with the light green dial. Hamilton is owned by the Swatch group, so it uses an ETA movement. Should not be any problem. For a sub 1K watch, its a winner in my book.

Doubt that allocations have increased.

Demand has softened

This. We're the odd ones who collect watches but most people buy 1 watch for life. I think luxury goods saw a huge demand during the years following Covid so resellers jumped on the opportunity. I think between the economy and demand lightening, watches are actually starting to go to the people who have been waiting.

I've even bought a few watches on a walk in lately.

Congrats! I never liked the Bluesy when I saw it in pictures then saw one on a walk in. The way the dial explodes in the light sold me.

Long story short...I love my Bluesy haha.
