In my opinion, your SA is basically telling you it’s not going to happen. The Pepsi has gotten a lot tougher to get in the last year or two, the allocation is similar to getting a steel Daytona.

You are only 2 watches deep into your buying history, which means isn’t a lot. It’s not the only factor but there will be many people on the list with a longer history who have been waiting also. There is a reason they sell over retail as there are many people, such as yourself, who want them but can’t get an allocation.

Sometimes, we have to accept the position we are in. You don’t have the relationship of or buying history to get the allocation.
Pick another watch you like and hope to pick the Pepsi up further down the line.

I think the story with the grandma is what’s holding up the deal.

Just wear a red and blue tie!

Don’t expect sympathy from anyone here who had to buy theirs from a greyD (like me).

Buy an Omega instead. It's a better watch anyway.

I thought the custom is that a groom shouldn't wear a watch at all, on his wedding day? I did not. All the attention on your wedding day on the things important :-)

If you want this watch and nothing else will suffice then you wait.

It doesn't matter if you don't have it for your wedding, if it arrives later in 2025 or even in 2028 you will be just as happy to receive it.

Who knows, it may arrive on your first anniversary, or the birth of your first child or something else special in your life.

Never expect a plea for a hard to get watch to work, the person before you used the same reasoning as did the person who saw the SA after you. The SA has heard it all before.

Just be patient, it will arrive when it arrives.

Or you can tell your significant other that you've blown the deposit for the house on a Pepsi from a grey. Good luck with that one.

I'd go grey and put an end to the questions and waiting game.
If your AD is already telling you how difficult it will be to get almost a year from now, I don't think they have much interest in helping you.

I find it remarkable that people ask others such personal questions. If you are of the means where paying an extra 10-15K doesn't matter as much as your sentiment for your Grandmother and patience to satisfy that you can go grey. Personally I'd just wait for the AD to come through and I can well afford to go grey but never have. And I have no idea of what my Grandmother or mother's favorite colors were....I'm not sure I know what my own favorite color is!

Not even lately. Everyone is special and they need special things for special occasions. Nobody else cares because it's not special to them.

They won’t get you that watch. They’ve told you that already when they asked you to pick something else.

Weddings, birthdays etc etc
It makes no difference, there are others ahead of you in the pecking order for that watch, and they have weddings and birthdays too!

Go grey for the Pepsi, and do what they suggested which is to choose a different watch. That will keep your relationship with the AD going.

You will not be receiving the watch from the AD. At least not without a significant spend on other items. And if you were going to spend 100k on other stuff then why not just go grey. The situation you are setting yourself up for is no watch for the wedding if waiting for an AD. Now as you sit and wait, let Rolex discontinue the BLRO and watch the prices go crazy and you thought it was bad now. If you want the watch, have the resources to make a purchase of the watch in the Grey Market then do it now and put this to rest. You will have your watch, wear it and enjoy it now and going forward and be set up for the wedding.

Pretty simple, really. If you truly have to have that watch by next May, then your odds are not great IMO. You're now at the mercy of the secondary market and will have to pay the going rate. That's actually not as bad as it sounds, b/c you can always buy the watch @ market value and if, by some miracle, the Pepsi does come in, well, you won't have any trouble selling the one you purchased grey.

But wait...there's another option.

Have your wedding without a thought in the world about what watch you're wearing- really, believe it or not, there are quite a few people in the world that do just that.

And then continue to wait for the watch you want.

Thank you everyone for your replies to my post. The wedding definitely means more to me. I just want that specific watch. So far with my AD my fiancé’ and I have spent around 60k total. Jewelry, gifts, the engagement & wedding rings. I feel like the Bruce Wayne might be more doable or I may just bite the bullet and go grey. Thanks again everyone for the wedding congratulation wishes. I appreciate this forum and all of you. Especially the person that said postpone the wedding Lmaooo. She would look at me so crazy if I even uttered those words.

Best of luck in your journey and wedding, Shomarih. Whatever watch you wear, it'll be memorable nonetheless and the watch will hold sentimental value above all.

If you're willing to look at another watch from the AD then you not really wanting the BLRO, if you really only want the BLRO then you have two choices;

Wait or go grey.

Me, I'd wait as no watch is worth paying more than retail for.

Are you willing to consider a 5 digit Pepsi? Lots of amazing watches at great prices, including even vintage 4 digit pieces from the 60s and 70s. Something to consider.

If they are willing to get you a Bruce Wayne you my want to consider taking that and then trade it towards the purchase of BLRO from grey. That would net you a few thousand dollar discount as the Bruce Wayne are going for a fair amount over retail. Especially if you get one on Jubilee. Good luck.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Either buy grey or just forget about the watch for now and enjoy the wedding. Don't settle for another watch, you'll regret it later.

As usual, I agree with Neal. No offense. I like Omega. Coaxial escapement is cool, and all, and I love the orange bezel PO, but it ain’t no Rolex…

Have you seen BLRO in person next to BLNR? I thought I like Pepsi over Batgirl but when compared side by side, BLNR did win it for me by a mile due to the vivid blue.

Also Omega is a good option too. But only the right one. ) Rocking this Speedy for the past several days and can’t even look at my Rolexes anymore. )

The OP should go grey.

Marriage is a long journey of expensive compromises.

Might as well get started.

There is zero chance that they haven't received one of these. That's what they always say to avoid getting into the topic of how they decide who receives them. I also think your explanation/pitch of why you want this particular watch (the two colors thing) doesn't make a ton of sense on its face and may have them confused.

So she basically told me on highly sought after pieces the allocation process is similar to winning a lottery. (This didn’t make me feel good hearing that lol) and pardon me maybe I don’t give a good amount of context as why I like the Pepsi the most. Both of my grandmothers are now deceased and their favorite colors were red/burgundy and for the other purple/blue. They won’t be able to attend physically so I figure why not have something super special I can always look at and remember them.
