Jamie, I hope all is well, and I wish her a speedy recovery.
A D&C (dilation and curettage) and a BTL (bilateral tubal ligation) should have been a simple procedure. Typically the D&C takes about 10min, and the BTL another 15-20min if it is done with a laparoscope (the telescope looking thing....look at my avatar pict. I'm doing a BTL with it). Sounds like they got into some bleeding or another problem. I hope she does well. Typically, if they made the incision in a vertical fashion instead of transverse (bikini cut), then it was an emergency.
If you or your wife have any questions or need anything please don't hesitate to send me a PM.
.....DR.B

I just had a vasectomy last week, and while not as invasive, they gave me valium to chill me out and oxycodone which I took right after the surgery. If she's got this same mix, then yeah, she's swimming. Take care of her, man. Unless there's another medical reason for it other than being sterile, she definitely went all in for you. Wishing the best for both of you.
