Fantastic shots. I've never seen plexi so please excuse a couple of obvious questions: is it clearer than the current crystal? Other than scratches, is it easy too maintain/ replace? Can one use it on newer models? Is there a disadvantage at moderate depth- 70-& 80ft?

Be careful, once you go plexi, it is hard to go back to sapphire! It is not necessarily "clearer" than sapphire; however, it does seem to give a "warmth" to the dial below. It does scratch easily, but the scratches are easily fixed with a variety of remedies (I use polywatch, but have heard even toothpaste can do the trick.). The old domes are not compatible with newer models. And the depth rating does not really make a difference to me because I am not planning on diving more than 10 feet in the deep end of a pool, but I would be more concerned with old seals failing in a watch than with the actual plexi crystal failing. Hope this helps
