I believe I was 30, it was a used white dial turn-o-graph. Great piece. Kinda wish I had it back

I bought my first Rolex in 1988, when I was 26. It was the 16310
Coke-bottle GMT Master II with the Jubilee bracelet. At that time in Toronto, one would *never* see the "sport" watches on Jubilee bracelets -- always the Oyster. I still have that watch, have it serviced at RWC every 5-10 years but wear it only occasionally. I should probably sell it. |

I was 15 I it was a used AirKing, on an after market strap. I later found a deal on a TT Oyster bracelet, that I purchased and installed which brought it back to its former glory.

51 or 52. It wasn't a special occasion - I just decided to get a DSSD. Wore it twice, didn't like the dimensions, and put it away in it's box for a couple years.
I fell in love rather suddenly with Speedmasters and picked one up. I had always been a Seamaster guy but the Speedy bug bit me hard and without warning. The gratification of getting the Speedmaster must have woken something up inside me and it was immediately time to to secure my grail watch, the one I'd been dithering about for decades. That's the GMT Master BLRO, 5-digit. I decided on the GMT II and traded the DSSD for a super clean P-serial 16710. Never looked back!

I came VERY close to buying a SS Sub when I was 21 and unmarried. As it happened, I bought it at 37.

17. It was a pre-owned two tone datejust with a black face. I got it as a high school graduation present from my parents. I had asked for either a Rolex or a credit card to go off to college with. They (wisely!) opted for the Rolex because they said the watch they only had to pay for once, but a credit card would have cost them money every month indefinitely!
