I´m leaving for vacation on thursday, and due to the travelling and places we´re going to stay I will only bring 1 watch. We´re spending one week on a cruise and a couple of weeks in a villa where we´re gonna spend some days in the pool, on the beach and of course in the nearby cities. So the watch I´ll bring will need to do the job both on the beach playing with my kids, both also with "semi-formal" wear in the evening.
My collection includes several SS Rolexes, including Sub-C wich might be the obvious choice for the task. However I feel my green dial 116718 GMT MII 18k wants to join, and I really like to bring it. I´m all for using (not abusing) my watches, and this is in no way a safe-queen, but is it up for the task?
I would. Really: if you can't use it, you really don't need it

I wouldn't

Never get it wet,
Never expose to bright lights,
And what ever you do, don't feed it after midnight.

Oh crap them instructions are for something else, yep Rolex manual says you can take it swimming. You are good to go.
