The only reason why we kept asking who the dealer was is because our members know alot of dealers in Hong Kong and would know instantly if you got it from a good place or not.
Stop worrying about your watch and enjoy it. That's why you brought it for right? |

It's not a good picture and with a critical eye you could start picking flaws in your watch.
You say that you think it's got an 85% chance of being genuine and you're awfully vague and woolly with your answers. There's a chance that you are trying to mess us around here.

I bought this watch in HK and am just trying to make sure of its authenticity. Sorry if I seem short I'm simply trying to express that my intentions are genuine. If I seem vague or woolly it's not on purpose. Can you please go in depth about the flaws you say you see so I can take a closer look and post more pictures please? Thanks. |

Man this thread is crazy! A lot of good information mixed in with a lot of confusing questions?
I have probably less than 1% of the Rolex knowledge these fine gentleman have but why would you take possession of a Rolex that doesn't line up the 12 o'clock position and the 'upside down triangle' exactly? That was one of the few things I checked on mine before taking it home. It's a Rolex and my novice thinking at the time was they had to line up perfectly! |

-As for the upside down triangle on the bezel lining up exactly at the "12-hour" mark; someone on here told me he'd seen it before. What do you guys think? |

3. No you cannot overwind
6. Go ahead and set it, then wind, I believe about 40-50 turns is a full wind which should last around 48 hrs if I'm not mistaken 7. The crown should be hard to see and the rehaut should also be engraved Correct me if I'm wrong or missed anything fellas |

Also, I bought this in HONG KONG from what I thought was an AD.
How does one know if the seller is an "AD?" Only thing suspicious is that the warranty card is in French! Also only thing in the box aside from the watch is "Rolex Submariner" small-rectangular pamphlet, the warranty card and a small service manual. Lastly, the back of the watch still has the protective sticker. It just has a small green edge on a side of it where I've seen some have numbers? To think I invested around 5K for this, one would imagine they get a little more information! But that's what this forum is for. Just voicing my concern is all. Is the only real way to guarantee authenticity is to look inside? If so, where can I go to have someone look into it that knows what he/she is doing? Maybe some place that sells them? |

Mine is a 16610 Does that mean it is not "ceramic bezel?" What is the difference between the two bezels? Lastly, what's the difference between 16610 and 116610? Thanks! |

The 16610 is the classic Submariner they stopped produce it in 2010 i think.
The "new" 116610 have a fater case, the bezel is ceramic (more shiny) and if you check out the bracelet you can se some differnece on the clasp. The index is bigger on new modell to. I dont know all details im sorry |

Ceramic is just a bit more shiny and the engravings are a bit better. I'll just have to keep reading the differences between 16610 and 116610 on the forums. |
