Odd place to say the least, but it's still up to you in regards to what you wear or don't wear.

sorry, but this sort of trolling does not warrant any intelligent responses.

So a Richard Mille tourbillion worth $500K looks cheap because it's on a rubber strap? Damn, someone better tell them!

I'm merely stating that to a certain extent I can understand where the OP's opinion came from. AP is my favorite watch, and I love the Rubber Clad, I've owned one. Yikes!

Ha I know how it goes.. I love how people mention no one even knows what they wear.. Some guy commented once on my "Panera"... I think you could gather what I was wearing ;)

I like being under the radar, I mean to those who know watches it isn't, but wearing a Rubber Clad to the amass of ordinary or avg people, it is nothing special, indeed.. But that's me, yes i'm spending 15-20k still, so that speaks for itself. But it's going to be what I love and understated for that cash, not a full out gold Rolex.

It's always the rude/obnoxious people who will comment on my choices for the money, who also comment about my car choice .. Why a RUF GT2, should have gotten a LAMBO or FERRARI.... Wait what's a RUF? lol

At the end of the day, we all see worth in things we love...

C'mon guys, lighten up, it's not the OP's fault if you all love ugly watches!

Now in all seriousness, I will say that Audemars Piguet does make some watches with what I'll call special designs and they may not be for everybody, however I will say that myself personally likes a lot of them and even if I didn't I wouldn't dare to start a thread with the unique purpose of trying to get on AP's owners' nerves. Not only is it classless (as Ken said) but it is also immature and childish.

P.S.: If I ever meet someone wearing an AP, you can be sure I'll compliment him on his fine timepiece with such a wonderful movement.

to me it's not worth that money. it is priced at 500k to be precise.
i personally also find it cheap looking.
on the other hand i do understand the appeal of a ro but not a friend of the roo line. go figure....

The point isn't what is or isn't an ugly watch or even if a watch is worth a lot of money. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. At issue is the OP's good manners or lack thereof. You don't lob a grenade into a room and say, "have a nice day!"

To the OP, sir I demand satisfaction on behalf of all AP owners
Oh, hang on, I don't actually own one yet just aspiring to one day, guess I have set my aspirations too low, just like your CEO right?

Once again the moderators and Steve have shown their considerable understanding and tact in dealing with what is obviously a Troll. A post designed specifically to divide the Forum and split the members into factions. Not only is this against Forum policy but these posts have been known to push members into posting responses that have resulted in bans.

I tip my hat to the mods because:

I would have pushed the big red button.

We have nearly 75000 members and one less Troll wouldn't bother me.

There's two reasons here Eddie.
First is to show the OP his complete and utter mistake, whilst also allowing his own opinion, although rude in it's context!
The other is to let the membership dabble in a little opinionated debate.

We are all for an open thought, however when it turns into a fiasco of naming and finger pointing, then the open debate has run it's course.....We are now not far from it!
The OP has not even stepped up for rebuttals!!

For the record, it's not red..... It's a back-lit magenta, and has a safety switch!
