That explains it Mike. I thought it looked more like 'another' problem.

AP Volcano is big and brash=A bright coloured Bentley Continental GT
PP is elegant and simple=A dark coloured Aston Martin Vantage

Very different type of watch even though they are both really design for casual wear!
The smaller car always go round corner better than the bigger car. I think the PP will be more comfortable to wear. But if you want a watch with a big wrist presence then go for the AP!

In this case at least by trying them both you'll surely get a better idea in regards to how much different they are.

Trying them on in person first is always much better than buying before trying.

I have a couple of ADs that will ship me the watch I'm interested in to wear around the house before buying or return with no problems - I just can't resize bracelets, remove stickers/tags, or wear outside. That's a lot of trust on their part. Of course, they've seen how I care for my watches and it helps if you've spent a few $$$$ with them.

The best way of testing watches is GTGs. Find some guys nearby that have what you're interested in and meet. Who knows, you may even find someone willing to sell theirs - I've sold/bought a few pieces that way.
