Lombardi's on Spring street for Pizza. Go during 'off-hours', lines can be insane. No slices, pies with 2 topping abt $30.. cash only. Good location for tourists..Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho.

Bubba's in Tribeca for Breakfast
Le Grainne Cafe in Chelsea for crepes. My favorite is chicken, goat cheese and leeks combo.
Morandi in the W Village for Brunch. Keith McNally's (Baltazar) joint.
The bruschetta with ricotta, honey and pine nuts is to die for!

When are you coming in? City is nice & quiet in August.
