How would a 42mm daytona affect the prices of the used 40mm?

I was thinking that there may be a positive impact on the resale price meaning that it would go up. |

a platinum daytona is no accomplishment for rolex. i mean seriously...."eh...yeah....just pour the platinum in the mold instead". if this is the big announcement, it's super lame, akin to Malibu Stacy with the new hat on The Simpsons.

I really can't see Rolex adding a date function to the Daytona, nor would I want them to.

If Rolex comes out with an anniversary Daytona shouldn't be USA only?
In 1963 I think non USA bound Cosmograhts didn't have Daytona on the dial. |

^^ I'd be happy to see a return of the Jubilee to the GMT2, but I'm not holding my breath.

Don't they already have a WG GMT (GMT Ice)? Granted, it's covered in diamonds, but this wouldn't be the first GMT in WG.
