How would a 42mm daytona affect the prices of the used 40mm?

How did the DSSD affect the price of the 16600 model, or the fat case Subs/GMTs? There might be a momentary drop, but they're different watches so I don't foresee a huge long term impact.

I was thinking that there may be a positive impact on the resale price meaning that it would go up.

Maybe a 42mm Daytona with a date function and red ceramic??

Can't wait for tomorrow's unveiling...

a platinum daytona is no accomplishment for rolex. i mean seriously...."eh...yeah....just pour the platinum in the mold instead". if this is the big announcement, it's super lame, akin to Malibu Stacy with the new hat on The Simpsons.

I really can't see Rolex adding a date function to the Daytona, nor would I want them to.

If Rolex comes out with an anniversary Daytona shouldn't be USA only?
In 1963 I think non USA bound Cosmograhts didn't have Daytona on the dial.

Hmmm

My heart says it wants a pepsi/coke GMT, id jump on board right away

My head tells me its a precious metal GMT; white gold to be exact

They have a WG sub, looks like a WG GMT is on its way =)

And you can take that to the bank

(American Southern Bank that is!!)

^^ I'd be happy to see a return of the Jubilee to the GMT2, but I'm not holding my breath.

Don't they already have a WG GMT (GMT Ice)? Granted, it's covered in diamonds, but this wouldn't be the first GMT in WG.
