Silver dial and if the fluted bezel is a must then the jubilee bracelet is a must, too.

IMO the blue dial is beautiful but there are other Rolex watches where the blue colour looks much nicer like YG/TT Sub or YM.

The blue dial has indeed a sportier look and I´d only have it with Oyster bracelet and smooth bezel.

i havnt seen the blue in the flesh yet , but from the pictures i thought it was the same blue as the YM , which is a pretty neat looking blue

Silver, fluted bezel (just to add a small touch of flamboyance) and an ummm...president's bracelet?

I have the silver and it is hard to read. If I had it all over to do again I would probably pick the blue. But the silver definitely pops!

would i be correct in saying most of you think the oyster is a daily wear and jubilee dressy

I have the super jubilee on my silver sticks dj as well. I consider it too dressy and just switched it over to my 93150 last night. The jubilee is comfy and cool but I think the polished center links is what makes it wink so much.

I think the silver looks great however I do find it a little more difficult to read. The blue does look much nicer in person that in the picture but might not be quite as versatile. Either would be a great choice though, it just depends what you prefer.

I bought silver dial/sticks/oyster... I have to say I don't find it difficult to read. I did see concerns here about its legibility and paid close attention to that when I compared the finalists for me (silver/blue/white) in person. All 3 were highly legible, silver maybe a TOUCH less so than the other 2 but certainly not problematic, at least for me.

The blue on the DJ 36mm is different than the blue on the DJ II. The DJ II's blue dial is a complete stunner. The 36mm is, as someone else mentioned, closer to the YachtMaster's blue, which is not as nice IMO.

tried on a couple today at another AD , they had the silver sticks and white dial on a jubilee , i must say i preferred the silver ,,,, but i thought the jubilee made the watch look smaller ,

i think it looks larger on a oyster bracelet ,

does anyone have similar thoughts ?

Since it will be an everyday watch, my suggestion is to get both...looking at one color seven days a week may get boring...

Another bracelet option is an oyster bracelet that is standard on the Oyster Perpetual watch. All brushed solid links (as compared to PCL's on the DJ), upgraded clasp and no micro adjustment. Just put one on mine, love the new look.

I think they are different, but DJ2 and YM blue are almost exactly the same, I checked, and it's a much nicer blue as you say.

i'd put them about even if it wasn't for the red numbering. unless you're a career short seller, nobody likes red numbers.

as is, i'd go with silver

It´s as rare as a Datejust with silver dial.

The roulette wheel depends on the colour of the dial but many Datejusts have it.

Its the matter of personal preference. DJ itself either white or blue is a classic Rolex. For many here the white looks better but I still prefer blue dial. Saw the photo of the blue dial on your wrist, just great.

It's of course a matter of personal taste but the blue sunburst, better contrast and dial exclusivity made me decide for the blue one. In combination with je fluted bezel and je Jubilee I must admit.
