I'll echo others sentiments and say first and foremost I'm glad everyone is ok. That's what is truly important. Scary thing is, this happens daily all over the world. Actually, it happens all over the USA on a daily basis as I'm sure Cop414 and others that work in law enforcement can tell you. Hopefully it all works out as well as it possibly can. Did you have your watch insured?

probably shouldn't break in and rob the place then... Break in my house and the last thing I'm thinking about is the intruders recovery time...

Several years ago (4, maybe 5) this same scenario happened to my neighbor in Turks. He, his wife and 2 children, rented a house and it was invaded by armed thugs who tied them up and took all that they could grab. The family was emotionally scarred but physically unharmed.
I went there two years ago and stayed in an all-inclusive resort that I never left. I don't think I'll ever go back. It's a beautiful island along the coast with some of the most colorful water I've ever seen. The airport is really 3rd world; the worst I've ever been to. All in all, there are far better, and certainly safer, places to vacation. Glad everyone is safe. Very sorry that you had to go through this. |

My house alarm is always on at night and the company has a distress code - god forbid this were to occur, perhaps we could assume that police would be on their way.
Sorry to hear of your experience. |

Seller has a good history so clearly not the thief himself but I'd be interested to know how he came into possesion of it.
Cops can get involved and get the watch back. Stolen property is stolen property |

Home Invasion Providenciales Turks and Caicos
I sent the eBay seller about the circumstances and a link to this.
He responded this morning saying that he received a similar message and thought it was a scam at first. Now that a couple people contacted him, he's intrigued. Im hoping that he has info to lead to the thief Update: he sent me another message saying he's going to the local police with a copy of this forum and any additional info he has |
