No PCL, but you still have some tiny dull scratches caught on the clasp.

I love GMT-C more than SUB-C because the former has one more useful complication for showing the times in 3 different time zones (two time zones directly from the dial and one more from rotaing the bezel). Moreover, BLNR has a (blue/black) two-colored ceramic bezel, which is very unique and fantastic appearance compared with the ubiquitous SUB-C LN.

BLNR for me, a great versatile watch with GMT function. You may not need GMT everyday but it's cool to know it's just there

Also had the same dilemma Gmt vs SubC about 3 years ago. Went with SubC and never looked back. This is classic watch which goes along with anything, from flip flops to suit. My initial worries were about durability of ceramic bezel but so far no issues and believe me I don't babysit it.
I travel a lot, changing time zones almost every week, but not having Gmt was never a problem to me. It is simple math as long as you remember how many hours ahead or back you are from home.

Overall superb watch highly recommended to everyone as first Rolex.

Cheers,
Will

BLNR for the win!
If you do go the SubC I reckon go the no date. Classic, clean, perfect symmetry, versatile and understated. Would James Bond wear the date and cyclops... Never

Both beautiful and I had the same dilemma. My opinion ended up being that the BLNR could possibly be their best SS GMT ever released and will be a future classic / iconic rolex.

The SubC while amazing will unlikely be an iconic piece. The iconic Subs are vintage. With this logic I ordered the Brand New BLNR and picked up a 1971 vintage 5513 submariner.

Hope this helps. All I can say is you can't go wrong but whichever you choose you will long for the other. It is inevitable...

SubC date. It's the iconic Rolex of today. It's the go everywhere, do anything watch. Little bit blingy while still remaining robust and masculine. But ultimately, you need one of each.

If it's only one watch you are going to own, it has to be the Sub Date.

I have the SubC, SubC LV and BLNR and love them all.

I did cheat though and brought a SubC bracelet to go on the blnr. Had it three weeks now and it's not been off the wrist!

What do all the BLNR owners say to the point that the pcl's are just too much of a pain in arse? Anyone have a pick of one that is 2 years old that has some wear? How bad can they get??
